nice watch shark, i still have a G shock with me, i think i bought it 7 years ago, changed the battery just once, its called Mr. G, all metal with a rubber protector at the back. but now its seiko all the way!!

Hi sir van, thanks....Mr.G's are expensive nowadays....that is a nice watch. I kinda strayed a bit from Seiko, he he. Most of my collection are vintage ones so I don't wear them everyday. This one I will wear daily, as of now. He he....

Sir shark, i hope its still not late to say congratz to your new GIEZ :thumbsupsmiley: Techie Tough

Thanks sir tom! Today's actually the first day I wore it outside. It took me a while to find an affordable Casio that was still made in the land of the rising sun. I feel that a proper Japanese brand should naturally be made in Japan. Also, if I were to buy a quartz timepieceit should at least be solar powered. I got more than I expected from the Giez GS1100. Good thing the guy(ebay merchant), accepted bidpay and agreed to ship the watch here sa Pinas, right to my doorstep! And this time I wasn't charged

an impossible fee for the taxes. Unlike my previous experience.

I saw a similar model at the mall, a few days ago, Casio Giez GS1001 selling for 10,995 pesos, but to my dismay, it was "Japan mov't-cased in Thailand", and not solar powered. I was almost tempted by the 18mos 0% interest payment scheme.

Good thing I was able to control my urge to get it right away. I envy you 'coz you are right there where you

can buy Japan domestic pieces be it Casio or our favorite Seiko.

Got a new Casio Frogman yesterday, was lucky enough to get a NOS specimen from abroad- and a rare one at that.
