Heto folks, for those who love GOTO and tokwat baboy, where can we find the best in town? Sarap kasi din yan pam blow out sa office pag birthday mo. Hehehe, magpapa deliver ka kalde kalderong goto at tokwat baboy... Di ba busog lahat pati messengers at guards... mura pa.

Start the info flow...

For me the best place I've had goto is at "Gotohan sa Barangay" which is in Lipa City. Oh, for those wanting to try their soup no. 5 better get there early coz it sells like hotcakes (eh?)

dalawa yun eh, alin dun?

The best for me was this stand (gone now) at the corner of Katipunan and Aurora, where they had the "mata ng baka" goto... Yummm... I'd request them not to slice up the cow's eye and I'd get it whole in my bowl... Da best!

If anyone knows any other "mata ng baka" goto place, post it here, I don't know where to find any...

I remember the first time I ordered goto in manila. I was used to gotohans in the batangas area which served meat, tripe, dugo, etc with this delicious, rich goto broth and you ordered rice on the side. This what I believed real goto is (and still do). So imagine my confusion when I ordered goto and recieved what seemed to me like lugaw with the meat, tripe, etc in it. Anyways it did taste good but not as good as the batangas version. There was also a time when I ordered lomi in manila and they served me lomi with vegetables in it which was also not what I was used to getting. Nevertheless it also tasted ok.

strangedays, i know what you're tlking about. i have tried it several times in the market place of padre garcia in batangas, sarap talaga.... with all the pang rayuma inside and redish soup na medyo maanghang and yes they eat it with rice. That's gota in batangas but they call it serkele(tama ba spelling) in nueve ecija. Tara biyahe tayo.

Sure pare la problema... next time you're in lipa try Gotohan sa Baranggay. It's on your left side if you're coming from Carmel Church going towards Rosario. From what I've heard they've renovated the place and added a second floor (air conditioned) to accomodate more people.
