George Carlin was a comedian, and part of what he says stem from what he perceives to be hypocrisy of people and societies.

I enjoy George Carlin but still I maintain that accidental abortion is the only one not sinful.

Life begins at conception. No one has been given the right to take a life. No matter what the consequences are, it is still MURDER...

It is always the choice of the woman carrying the baby....Seriously, it's a much bigger sin to give birth to the child and not give it the proper environment to grow up in......That's not the kind of life they would want to live in anyway...Look at the number of street children we have here in Manila alone....They either grow up to be petty thieves or prostitutes because their parents are too poor to give them feed them let alone give them the proper education so they can be productive members of society. That's not the kind of life they would want anyway given the choice. It is easy for us to pass judgments on women who underwent the procedure out of sheer desperation, personal tragedy, or low socio economic status because we are not in the unfortunate situations or circumstances as these women and what about children who are barely old enough to take care of themselves let alone take care of another human being??? Like children barely out of puberty....We are talking 12 or 13 year old.....It's good if the child comes from a well to do family where she can count on the financial and emotional support of her family.......What if the child is from a low income family??? How can she count on the support of other family members financially or otherwise if the family members themselves have trouble making ends meet??? What kind of life will the young mother have and what kind of life will she be able to provide for her child??? It's very likely that the young mother would have to resort to illegal or immoral means ie prostituting or selling drugs to support her child because 1st of all she is not alllowed to work and has very little or no education...How will she be able to support her child??? Sometimes it's not even a question of morality anymore....We are living in a real world with real problems........I am not here to belittle or inflame anyone's opinion regarding abortion.....It's just my opinion....Peace!!!!

Personally i think it's murder plain and simple....for whatever reason, the human being growing inside a woman had no hand whatsoever on the circumstances that happened that led to his/her conception. Can you blame the unborn child for the sin of being conceived? Hell no! Be it the result of rape or just plain stupidity. Blame the situation, not the unborn.

It has always been a sin.

however, i think there are exceptions to this rule:

- when the baby is stillborn and needs to be "flushed" out of the system lest the girl die
- when the woman (or baby) will die of complications if she delivers the baby

paano mo ba malalaman na may life na ang isang organism? kasi hanggang ngayon naman debatable pa rin kung kelan talaga nagsisimula ang life.. kung dun sa moment ng fertilization or dun sa moment ng first breath.

Its always a sin, and God hates and abhors it.. No matter what the circumstances are... its a SIN... and Don't even think about it.. If you got pregnant or if your girlfriend is, just face it and be a human and be responsible because what if you are that baby, that you are about to abort, what would you feel towards your parents? :angry2:
