Rant #1 :

What's up with Puregold with their outdated mode of check and balance at the expense of its customers. So i was on my way out this morning at their branch in Felix Ave., Cainta (front of Sta. Lucia) when their guard stopped me on my tracks to ask for the receipt of the items i bought. So i reached out for the stuff that he was asking for and bluntly told the guard na "sayo na yan, diko naman kelangan yan." I mean SM/Savemore, Rustan's and Robinson's supermarket does not do this outdated stuff anymore where you have to inconvenience your customers just to prove what? Make sure that the customer paid for their stuffs at the cashier? Maybe they should strengthen the screening of their employees or further review their process and think of a more creative way of addressing the problem while not making its customers feel like one has stolen something and waste each other's time in the process. Verdict : Epic FAIL!

Rant #2@Rustan's supermarket in Gateway mall, Cubao Q.C.

So I decided toleave my bag at the baggage counter and do some field work and then have my groceries afterwards. The girl on the counter did not bother toinform me that they have a 1.5 hour (?!) time limit otherwise it will be stored someplace else and you will be required to show a receipt of the goods you've purchased and write down all the items you have in the bag before you couldclaim it. The girl merely said that I read their baggage counter policy which Iof course assumed that it would be a waste of my time as I've been leaving my baggage at Robinson's supermarket, Sta. Lucia as well asSavemore/SM and I assumed that they have a universal policy withregards to baggage's. Plus, the sign was like on a size 12 font, with unappealing design (yellow green background, black font with several red font's in between)and 20-chapter long (am obviously exaggerating here) with the seeming objective of shooing it's customer's away. So after 3 hours, I cameback and did my groceries and it probably took a good 15 minutes for the oneassigned in the counter to search for every/any foreseeable item unto that confined space (there were barely any items in there mind you) before she could muster the initiative to ask on what time I left my belongings and tell meabout the said policy with matching miss universe point at their unappealing sign (at least she got this one right). She excused herself to look for the security guy to retrieve my stuffs and came back in a short while totell me that I would have to wait for around 15 minutes since the one assigned was unto something pa daw (apprehended a pickpocket and had some paperwork's tofinish pa). I was fuming mad at this time and told the girl that it shouldn'tbe my concern anymore and that they should not inconvenience their customer's simply because there are supposedly people who just watch the movies and not buy any item/s and simply leave their luggage at the counter. All in all, it took around 30 minutes for me to reunite with my bagagain after I've asked for a complaint for and asked for the name of the store manager who was said to be not around at that time (7PM). I am not expectingmuch from this complain but I won't mind filing it anyway since the damage has already been done. So after crossing out Puregold as among the list of supermarkets to avoid, look's like Rustan's will be joining that exclusive and ill renown club after all.

"Customer's are not always right but they have the right to be heard" _ what i've learned from a customer service seminar that i've attended mid-last year. When you know that much is expected from your customers at work, you kinda expect much in return when the table's are turned and you become that customer.

BPI Family Bank, Felix Ave. branch, Cainta City

As with most BPI automated teller machines (ATMs), you're choice is either the machine is off-line, out of cash or unable to print the receipt.. is it too much to ask if all of the above na lang palagi? mad.gif No wonder tinatalo na BPI ng BDO, laging unreliable service nila.

I rarely shop at Puregold but whenever I do I have always found their system of doing things outdated. They have automated item counting via their cash register and manual item counting via their bagger. If ever these 2 counts don't match, both cashier and bagger will try to do a recount or try to locate the miscount. This actually happened to a customer in front of me and it caused a delay. After everything matches up they still have to bring the printed receipt to a supervisor for signature. Then we are subjected to a bag count before we are allowed to leave Puregold (this is also true with S&R). Puregold management should rethink how they treat their customers. They should not assume that their customers go to their establishment to shoplift.

The bag count also will protect the customer

One time when we exited, our bag count was one less and the checker called out attention

We went back to the counter to find our bag was beside the bagger.

I asked him why did not the bagger loaded our bag ... he said he "forgot" and we were far for him to chase us... duuugh

Madaming beses na nangyari sa Mcdonald's (lalo na pag nag 8Mcdo ka) yung may nakakalimutan sila or mali-mali yung order. I remember last month nag padeliver ako double cheeseburger meal, coke, large fries, caramel sundae at nuggets. Tama naman yung burger kaso mali yung drinks (sprite). Wala yung fries, nabigay yung nuggets ko sa kabilang bahay. May system ba sila na sinusundan or incompetent yung delivery boys?

Some poor service provider rant :

post-263321-0-16981300-1357637421.jpg

So in the middle of my work I got a call from EAST WEST BANK who is conducting a pre-approval interview. This was after a countless of times that I was bugged by multiple agents to avail of their credit card service and after a long while I finally relented and said yes. So back to this call, she was asking me all the details and blah blah about my life. Then the deal breaker came when the agent asked if she could call my office landline number and ask an employee of mine to vouch that I endeed work for the company that I am saying that I am affiliated with? Recorded daw kasi yong conversation Hmm I mean, they seriously require this? :angry2:

It's just that I find it as dumb and offensive since they could always request for a copy of an employment certificate or my latest income tax return (ITR) to determine my capacity to pay. And i am currently the department head and I would ask a subordinate of mine to vouch for me or ask a Director to do so or seek an HR personnel to do so??? Really? Having a credit card is a luxury and not neccessarily a neccessity and why should I drag other people into this supposed to be credit card application when I did not beg to apply for one in the first place so of course I stood my ground and said NO. It's a dumb requirement and am not sure if there are other credit card companies that do so since I also have an HSBC and BPI card and I never recalled them doing so back then. Besides, it wouldn't be the end of my world if they disapprove my supposedly application.

Not neccessarily bro, SM/Savemore also counts the bags that you have via the cashier and the bagger but their guards don't stop you in your tracks just to count them again and check and mark/sign your reciept. It's a check and balance where the customer suffers in between. There would always be a better process or system in coming up with a manpower that is appropriately screened and trained to at least be able to provide an acceptable service that one's customer deserves and not come up with a knee-jerk solution simply because one feels that they need to make one. If high end supermarkets like SM, Robinsons or even Rustans can do so why can't Puregold adapt it also.
