Peking Garden in glorietta or president's

Hmm, President's in Binondo is good.

Yesterday I went to Aberdeen in Makati Ave.

Nice view and the food is better compared to my visit there a few years ago.

New management na yata sila ngayon eh.

I love the one in Greenhills.... you can buy food in microwaveable packs and store them in the ref... DEC.... especially the machang

and of course, President's, North Park and Hap Chan

i love the fresh lumpia from Ha Yuan

noodles from Hong Ning

the best I've tasted so far is the Chinese restaurant in the ground floor of Pan Pacific Hotel.... I have it on good authority that they have authentic Chinese food.... I especially enjoyed watching the chef prepare the noodles from scratch... parang nasa HK....

you can order the soup anywhere but the real name of the soup is spinach seafood soup. just saute some chopped ginger, shrimp, lapu-lapu bits and squid, pour some chicken stock or seafood stock. then in goes FINELY chopped spinach. then a little cornstarch solution and let the boil and its done. optional is to add egg white while stirring.

My grandfather was a court scribe in Beijing ages ago, which was before the war.

We visited our old relatives and we were brought to this restaurant where the menu was good for 3 days. It had both a combination of hot and cold dishes, im not sure how many but i would say it was probably around 30 in all.

It did cost a lot of money but it was probably the best meals ive ever had in my life!

As for the local chinese restaurants, the hotels have the best selection, becuase they have visiting chefs from China and HK.

The best would be Tin Hau for their dimsum selection and the order a day in advance roast pork.

Shang Palace and Summer Palace of the Shang for their main courses, especially the grouper and fish dishes.

Emperors court for the buffets! Definitely a sunday treat!

Non Hotels would be President and Shang rila in West Avenue. Peking Duck of Spring Deer!

When trying out a chinese restaurant...my advice is to order the friend chicken and dimsum, as this is the easiest and most common to make. If its great, then the food is great!
