For one, The Premiere Samgyupsal and Samgyupsalamat discourages Solo Diners. Nung nag-inquire ako na ako lang kakain, sinabi nila na hindi allowed. They gave me the option to push through pero doble daw ang babayaran ko.

So far, Romantic Baboy and Muhan attends to solo diners naman kahit papano.

Naranasan ko rin yung mga ganun.
Doble daw bayad kc mag isa ako.

If you don't want my business, ok lang. sa iba na lang ako.
Di naman ako malakas kumain para magbayad ng 2.

Thanks for heads up

Oh meron pala ganyan. Nag taas na rin sila rate 499 na dati 299 lang.

Tama lang yan.
Hard to keep a business afloat charging those rates.
At least, makakainan mo pa sila with less of a crowd now.

Any Fr's on shake shack and In n Out?

Both are really good.  Standard burger at in n out is the double double -- two burger patties and two pieces of cheese.Animal style is a thousand island type sauce and onions that is popular on the burger or on the fries.  Sarap.

Shack shack standard burger is the shackburger. Its a single burger but the beef is a little bit better quality. Instead of animal style they offer a cheese sauce for your fries.

While both are really good, in n out is a bit cheaper so a better value overall.

FR on Sumo Niku

This is a rather new samgyupsal restaurant. Downside is that there is no steam egg available and their dips are the common dips that you can see in any samgyupsal resto (no garlic mayo). Their lettuce isnt available that evening either. Plus side are the cheese deep and wagyu beef. Side dishes are just common overall 3/10. Not the best samgyupsal ouy there.

I'm so used to just dipping in salt & sesame oil back in my Korean buffet binging days. 😄
Not a fan of the cheese dip so ok lang for me.
Would prefer soy sauce

In & Out is comfort food for Californians.
Even if you're not a burger lover or particular about it.

Good day MTC members.

Hope all is well with you. A new and old member at the same time. Just made a new account and glad to be back. Anyway, what's new and happening in the Maginhawa area (or any area for that matter)? Used to frequent it though far. Any recommendations on great food finds, nice hang out coffee shops and bars to enjoy a nightcap? Just chill places. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. I guess I am a bit overwhelmed with the number of posts so I decided to get your responses. Thanks!

Have a good day everyone!

Sir, is the In & Out Burger place you're referring to here in Manila? Thank you.

Best not to do food parks in Maginhawa. For those I've tried, I'll go for Soru Izakaya and Shao-Kao Grillery.

The one they had here was just a pop-up for some hours, and for just a day.

I thought so. I lined up that time 2013 I think but I gave up as the line was so long and I was getting stressed.

I was kind of hoping against hope that In & Out would set up here in Manila.

Thank you for this.

They did one this year. Just for some few hours of an affair.

Also read this article why In n Out is doing just pop-ups, which is what they were also doing in other countries.

Oh well, I'll just enjoy the other burger places in the mean time. Cheers.

Many local restaurants are trying the In & Out method of never frozen (patties).
But they don't get the actual concept of how its done. That's their failure.

The secret is simple but easily overlooked.
Even professional chefs forget this.

Problem with In & Out is it is owned by 2 different family members.

I would think the reason its not offering franchises is it is still in legal dispute over who has the rights to the name and franchise
