i know how to swim pero takot pa rin sa tubig, lalo pag malalim na. minsan, nagkayayaan ung friends namin to go diving. ako i just went for the lakwatsa. ayun, dumating sa asaran at pilitan, napa dive ako (libre din kasi :D ). kahit may takot pa rin pa minsan2, ang sarap sa malalim, parang nasa ibang mundo ka na, feeling sirena ako nun :D

newbie pa lang ako dito. so far, i've dived in mactan, moalboal, bohol.

Thats nice... In mactan, whats the good place to go diving? can you give me some recommendations of any resorts...I'll be in mactan this end of May...Hopefully explore mactan... Thanks....

because of the weather this past 2 weeks, di kami matuloy-tuloy sa dive namin sa anilao with my dive buddy.

i'll be in cebu next week for some official business but I doubt if I can dive there, 2-3 days lang kasi kami.

maybe you would want to dive with us in anilao one of these days. we do at least once a month.

nice enough, near enough and priced just enough.

Hello mga tsong.

I'm a certified dive master and been diving for almost 4 years now. I think this thread is nice pero masarap yung merung sirena kasama para party sa gabi.

Diver point at San Juan and Scubaworld is the place to buy equipment. So if you plan to dive I can show you best place and site around philippines but most of my weekend are in Anilao.

i'm glad snorkellers and divers appreciate this thread during our extended surface intervals.

ganun naman talaga tayo, habang nagpapasingaw ng nitrogen in between dives, kwento kwento lang muna sa ibabaw.

@rapturousone: im currently in manila. malapascua is actually in our plans. if ndi dun, coron or apo island daw. may naka dive naba dun?

sa anilao daw maraming jellyfish, lalo na pag cold season. is this true?

re jellyfishes in anilao, i'm a regular diver in different areas there although i've done other places too.

depending on the area in batangas, there are places there na jellyfish does not thrive or multiply.

case in point, i've done diver's sanctuary before but no jellyfish. not until last feb or march yata, kindly just backread.

not to advertise, but the other resort i'm diving in sa anilao, wala namang jellyfish eversince. well probably meron but i don't dive during typhoon season so i wouldn't know. pero sa ngayon, wala. pwede pa mag-dive dun.

just PM me if you would like to dive with us there or want to know the resorts we dive there.

hi lara! i'm scheduled to go to coron for the long june 12 weekend. it is a great place for wreck diving. barracuda lake is a plus too!

i think the jellyfish start to come out in june. i can't say that anilao is teeming with jellyfish when the water is cold but it does help to have additional protection. i lather on sunblock with jellyfish sting protection before i put on my neoprene. hey....that sounds kinky! ha! ha! ha! seriously, i has helped me a lot against irritating stings!

are you staying in manila for a while? have you had a chance to go to anilao yet?

wheres the place snorkling spot near manila lang,, thanks,,, :)

hi there. if you have snorkelling gear and don't need to rent, anywhere

that has calm, clear and not-so-deep water can be snorkelled (rivers, beaches

and lakes).

important is you have clear sight. pag malabo mata mo, scuba ka para tutok.

Went snorkling more than a couple of times already..

T'was AWESOME... Anyways its very near Manila.. Around 2 and a half hours drive..

Roads going to Lobo have improved a lot since the first time I went there and that was 9 years ago.. Been there every summer eversince..

it's good you mentioned the jellyfish, rap, i totally agree with you with the sting protection. i remember diving in pescador island off moalboal once and upon ascent, this giant jellyfish hits me on the face. and to think my face was the only unprotected part , except for the mask. i never thought it was possible to scream underwater but believe me, it is possible after all.

i'm sorry you got stung in the face by a jellyfish. too bad that it was not a screaming orgasm! :P

i have not been to pescador island. how is the diving there? is it all wall dives?

Its good to know meron palang tread dito for scuba diving. I have been diving but in anilao area lang. Never been to other places. I recommend a nice diving resort in Anilao. Thats the Anilao Beach Club (ABC) I design this resort and it was completed early this year so new pa ang mga Facilities. This is owned and operated an american & british. Both are SSI dive masters. I also recommend Outrigger for shore entry dives. That is if your in Anilao. Water here is always calm especially in ABC because it is strategically located in the cove of Balayan bay. Last 2 weeks when typhoon is hitting Manila and northern Luzon, weather here is calm.

i just visited that ship wreck early this week. it was interesting but the water was a little cloudy siguro dahil sobrang lalim na according to our guide. 990 feet if he (the tour guide) was not mistaken. we did not do diving pala, snorkling lang. sayang! hehehe.

@pornstar: bro, i am not sure yet on the 31st but would love to go. sana may ibang sirena pa na sasama if ever :)

Bro, I did two dives this weekend in Anilao (Leisure Dive). Thanks to Goldgreen for the info on the resort.

I tried to dive sa Outrigger first but they tried my patience once too much. I'm not going back there. Never. Imagine, we leave 3-330am to be able to dive 6am. When you get there, the staff make you wait for more than 30mins and what?? nothing. We were made to wait for the counter/check-in attendant pero walang lumabas. I was with my family and dive buddy, wasting the beautiful morning. Sayang, parang maganda pa naman house reef nila.

Good thing we transferred to Leisure Dive. Although we did not have reservation, they accomodated us right away. They have organized a diveboat which was scheduled to cruise to Puerto Galera. 3 dives in 3 different sites with breakfast, lunch and snack for P2800 all-in (very reasonable) and about P1800 for non-divers.

We just did shore dives as we had a friends-only schedule at Matabungkay for lunch (whew, busy day).

Next time, we'll join the trip to Puerto Galera. Damage for breakfast for 3, 4 tanks (2x2dives) and resort fee for 4 = P1,500 inclusive of tips.

So much for Outrigger. Should I take your word for ABC?
