Dual-sim Phones

Recommended Posts

  • 1 month later...

bought a cherry d17 for an extra phone, i dont recommend the unit because medyo mabagal sya pag nagttext..

tapos ka na sa message mo tapos you'll see the letters catching up on the screen..

for the price worth it na sya.. madami pa naman silang models to choose from

i would recommend getting yun local brands like cherry, torque or myphone rather than buying china phones sa mga tiangge..

the only advantage i see is aftersales market and repair

do you use a dual-sim phone? which one would you recommend?

the usual complaint on myphone is the charger. the tip is VERY thin and fragile. and since the unit's warranty is limited only to the phone (and not the charger) you'll end up buying a lot of chargers.

compared to cherry mobile, myphone's batteries have to be charged more often. also, the latter's plastic parts do not last long: mine developed cracks in the keypad in 2 months, then those cracks worsen -- the cracked keys fell off.

yet i bought again a new myphone to replace my cherry mobile (my only complaint with cherry is its faint ringtones, i keep missing calls and messages -- a no-no for a cellphone). this time i got a myphone B21 Duo, the Pinoy Phone.

Hehehe.

I used to have a Wi-fi phone. Kaso nawala na. Anyway, I'm now using a Torque DL85.

I wasn't really planning on buying this one. It was a gift from my wife. Kaya eto, I'm stuck using this phone until it breaks. Bummer.

Nakakapag record daw directly from the radio.

just been to a nokia center. they got this new dual sim phone (their first in the line, nokia's a me-too this time, but it's not their first me-too product) but even the staff are not so excited selling it. they kept saying to us customers to wait till their next dual-sim model gets in. the culprit is this: there's no dual-standy mode. meaning, you can put in 2 sims before covering them with the battery but you can use only 1 sim at a time. the switch key doesn't help at all.

yeah, we filipinos are so pampered with multi-featured phones we like the best without even applauding for them. no wonder the staff told me to wait until their september's new dual-sim release which has dual-standy (promise?)

anyway, i ended up buying an i-mobile. it's probably the phone of my dreams (hey, i've bought phones that costed much much more but this really answered my needs) after all it's a lightweight dual-sim phone with loud ringtones (how can you beat that, cherry mobile? how can you top that, myphone?) compared to my last myphone (i already got two, both of which are very unsatisfactory in sound department) which give out strong ringtones (call or text) even when it's inside my bag!!! i'm not closing the book though, who knows? the forthcoming nokia dual sim might be 'perfecter'. hehehe

it's got tv feature but i'm not a tv sort of guy, but it's sure good to know it's available if i wanted to watch.
