Vitamins and Food Supplements

  • Vitamins are not drugs or miracle cures.
  • Taking large doses of vitamins can be harmful because your body only needs vitamins in very tiny amounts.
  • Eating plenty of fruits, vegetables, wholegrains and cereals will give your body the vitamins it needs, at the right level and in the right balance.
  • Vitamin supplements can’t replace a healthy diet, but a general multivitamin may help if your diet is inadequate.
  • People who may need vitamin supplements include pregnant and breastfeeding women, people who consume alcohol in amounts over the recommended level, drug users and the elderly.

10% alcohol content of liquor/wine/beer per day

To keep health risks from alcohol to a low level if you drink most weeks: men and women are advised not to drink more than 14 units a week on a regular basis. spread your drinking over 3 or more days if you regularly drink as much as 14 units a week.

I usually take around 1500mg to 2grams of Vitamin C since may allergic rhinitis ako so to combat it, malakas ang VIT C intake ko, what can you say about this?

also, ECHINACEA is a good immune booster supplement.

thanks sa sasagot!

You are still in the upper limit for Vitamin C intake so nothing wrong with it. Besides Vitamin C is not naturally produced by the body and we need to intake it. Also it is a water soluble vitamin, meaning any excess you simply dispose by peeing.
