Have you ever experienced dreaming and knowing you're dreaming? Or, much better, you are consciously controlling your dreams.

For example, dreaming of a nightmare in which you suddenly gain the power to have the upper hand and to make things happen in your dream is a very satisfying experience for me.

Yup, several times.

You can do other things, you know, in your lucid dreams.

Like have sex.

Have someone caress your back.

The first time that happened I was amazed. Who could have imagined that sensations in a lucid dream feel as real as, well, those in waking life?

Those kind of lucid dreams don't last long enough, though, to go beyond caressing.

I don't remember having lucid dreams that start out as nightmares.

Other ones have me go inside a house and I as go inside, I imagine the things I would like to see and the persons I would be meeting.

My lucid dreams don't have enough drama to involve kontrabidas and vanquishing them.

Maybe next time.

What's the difference between lucid dreaming and OBE (out of body experience)? I've experienced a few times knowing I'm in a dream state, and I can vividly remember every detail once awake. There was this one time when instead of imagery I saw only pure blackness, and I could hear roaring in my ears, the kind you'd get when you put a seashell close to your ear.

Carlos Castaneda, the noted author of books on Yaqui knowledge and magic, said that one of the ways to touching the subconscious is by focusing on the details of a place or structure (such as a building) while dreaming. He also suggested trying to look at your hand, which is freaking hard to do because we don't really see our own bodies while dreaming. Most often we're just a pair of eyes looking at imageries.

amm.. i can lucid dream.. only if i'm not especially tired or sleepy.. kasi you can focus your mind on being aware you are going to dream..
i once had a dream, where i was in hell.. and a demon was tormenting me.. i suddenly realized that it was a dream.. then i used my mind to become a Pulis pangkalawakan, ehehehe its funny realy, i used a water gun to destroy the demon hahaha!!

@thobyastig: Hindi ako dream reader. Interested lang ako sa domain ni Morpheus.

@oropesa: I guess the character of dreams depend on our personalities.

@Lord Superb: The difference between OBE and lucid dreaming is that in lucid dreaming one knows that the current situation is just a dream. Everything still feels real, although fantastic. They can have many settings and characters unlike OBEs which have characteristic patterns, like the tunnel of light, floating on high and looking down at your self. It is almost always described with the paranormal, unlike lucid dreaming which is a natural phenomenon.

I don't have lucid dreaming but I always wake up at the wrong side of the bed if someone like my old man shows up in my dream or some events in the future was revealed to me and suddenly experience and realize it after I did that deed from the future. It sucks to be me at some way.

yep done this around 3 times when i was still in high school. it happened once sa akin so na intriga ako na mukhang kaya ko kontrolin talaga.
ma control. but that's a long time ago. did not tried it again or nawalan na kasi ako ng interest.

If you dream of having sex to a complete stranger and it all seems so real.... you're being visited by a demon temptress.

Err, the only satisfying part for me is when the dream is about me having s*x. XD

Hmm, so it's weird that I can clearly see my hands while I'm dreaming? While dreaming, I can even read, write, type... pretty much everything. But looking back, I think I never saw my willy in my dreams. XD

If you dream of having sex to a complete stranger and it all seems so real.... you're being visited by a demon temptress.

So, I was practically in a relationship with a Demon Temptress back then? Cool!

But lately, I noticed she has stopped stripping while asleep. Maybe it's because we had a point in the relationship where we both sleep naked. (So there was nothing left to take off.) Dude, this could be worth a try.

From time to time mahirap din masyado malalim ang panaginip nakakapagod grabe....

Good day po!

I don't think I've ever encountered this. I never know that I'm dreaming. The only time I find out is when I wake up.

Neither have I. When I'm dreaming, it's so vivid. Parang totoo.
