Right on hitting 18, my brother finally let me drive his car - a 1972 Ford Escort na lowered with spoiler, side skirts, air dam and headers.

When I had enough money saved, my dad helped me buy my first car - a '76 dodge colt. Since I was an enginering student na mahilig kumalikot ng kotse, my friends and I re-bored the 1500 engine into 1850 cc. Never lost a drag race at ortigas and temple drive until we met Boying (or Boyet?) Nodalo and his souped up L-type lancer...nilamon yung kotse namin.. that's when I stopped dragging. It also served as the frat car dahil ayaw pagamit ng ibang brods yung magagandang kotse nila (puro mababagal naman) sa rumble.

In law school, (1986-1990) I had a 1983 Galant Sigma na napaka-swerte. I got it before the big peso devaluation (because of Ninoy's killing) so 3 weeks owned pa lang nag-appreciate na yung value nya by 35%.

After law school, I had a 1988 Mit Lancer GLX, which I traded for cash and a new 1989 Corolla XL. The Corolla is the car I kept the longest kasi it was a witness to all the "good things" that happened to me :) Just sold it last year...

Well, as one grows older, his needs change so I got a 1999 Mit L-200 Strada 4X4 Pick up with Camper Shell...real workhorse especially when my family moved from QC to Cainta...last year medyo sinumpong ako ng hilig sa 4X4 so I had the tires changed for offroading...joined the pinatubo 4X4 trek from pampanga to the foot of mt. pinatubo but didn't go up the pass.

Now, if I could just get my hands on a freelander.....

My wife drives a 1997 Accord and a 2002 Ford Escape.

I now drive a 2002 Honda Accord for work and BMW X5 for fun and leisure with the family. The Accord is a good car, reliable and comfortable, easy to drive.

In the office I can borrow a Porsche 928 GT. It is the only front engine car made by Porsche and quite big for a sports car. The styling is still very modern even if it was a 93 model.
