Yup...insurance can be quite useful...the trick is finding the right one. Some policies offer cash back schedules or an investment scheme built in, but most importantly is calculate if you put in the premiums yourself into say a mutual fund, would that yield better than an insurance policy?

I'm an ex-insurance insider, my honest piece of advice, buy term life insurance and invest in separate mutual fund.. the hidden charges and costs of VUL and other traditional insurance products will eat your money without you even knowing it.. Insurance agents get around 20% to 50% of your premium, not including the bonuses and free trips locally and abroad :)

I do have one Policy (VUL) in place and paying it since 2014. Its always best to look for the best deals as long as its within your budget.

Can you give me some insights in your VUL Policy as I'm trying to get one in the US and VUL is quite good is some sense.

Its a Case-to-Case Basis what are my requirements in getting a VUL since there is no generic requirements aside from paying your policy on a periodic basis.

A friend told me about insurance products that also have an investment part to them. Very interesting stuff since usual financial advice is to get insured first before invessting
