Iriga City: City Of Character (bicol Region)

Recommended Posts

indeed this is a nice place.. this is my fathers home town.. ive spend half of my childhood days there... life is so simple, so serene, no worries and pressure compared to life here in the metro... rated as a second class city since people there relied mostly on agriculture.

kung may "habal-habal" sa mindanao... dito ka naman makakakita ng mga tricycle na kayang isakay ang may 15-20 katao sa isang biyahe on the way to far-flung barangay.. image hehe.

yet scenery is great, famous for their 'cold springs' masarap na laing at bicol express

with regards sa mga chicks sus dami magaganda dito... most of them mga 25% may dugong kastila... naging stronghold kasi ng mga kastila ang iriga during the spanish era kaya dami mestizo at mestiza... may isang skul dito na parang ceu ang dating la consolacion university na ata yun known for pretty chicks..hehehe

been a while havent been back there... try to visit this place.. people are nice and accomodating

I'm planning to visit this place during the summer vacation together with my family. My grandpa was actually from this place....

Would you guys know if there are any golf courses around the area??? Contact numbers so that I may inquire whether they are exclusive to members OR if they allow non-members to play??? I've been trying to get info from the web (even the Camarines Sur website) but there's not much info regarding golf. Does this mean wala?

It must have been at least 15 years since the last time I visited this place. Balita ko nga ibang-iba na nga raw. That's why I want to visit again.

Yah brings back memories hehe...I remember when I was in HS, nag summer vacation ako dito and I had a crush on our neighbor who's from La Consolacion although hindi naman siya mestiza. My grandparents who were from this place used to speak Spanish. And of course Rinconada... Marunong din ako magsalita nun pero konti lang.

Yes, please do. May time pa naman. Sa May ko pa naman balak pumunta. Worse case scenario, I just wouldn't bring my clubs with me.

Di naman sa biased. Nagkaton lang na sa LCC lang ako may nakilala. I'm sure marami rin sa Saint Anthony o kaya sa UNEP, etc. :goatee:

BTW, the pictures you posted, I barely recognized the City Hall. There used to be an open field in front of it tapos may parang grandstand diba? Ganun pa rin ba? Dati may tennis courts pa nga malapit dyan sa may likod if I remember correctly. But based on the picture, parang crowded na yung lugar mukhang wala na yung tennis court? That's where I learned how to play tennis as a kid

Pards, can you please rate these hotels in terms of cleanliness, facilities, location etc? Or which one is the most higly recommended? I am assuming these are all 3-star hotels tama ba? So the daily rates should be around Php2k for a double room (for 2-3 persons) per day right? Thanks.
