usually when a plugin is needed (this is detected when you are surfing/browsing the internet using firefox) may message and toolbar na lalabas where it says "click here to install missing plugin". just click on that, follow the directions, and watch the automated download and installation

IMHO flash support is one of the disadvantage of using linux. There is no support for the latest version (which is I think is version 8).

Just found out about a plugin for mozilla firefox. It's called the allpeers plugin.

it's let's you have P2P functionality within your network of friends/family. watch the demo video on their website: www.allpeers.com.

right now I am still exploring on its features. ang nagamit ko pa lang are the IM function and the file transfer function

Here are the extensions that I use:
Fasterfox
FireFTP
FireVox Screen Reading Extension
Web Developer Toolbar
and Google Toolbar

Johnlove: as of this writing, may support na ang Firefox in Linux for the Adobe Flash Player. And I believe it's for the latest version.

lumang add-on to firefox but ngayon ko lang sinubukan.

mouse gestures. instead of pointing at the buttons in the window you can do mouse gestures to go forward, back, minimize, next tab, previous tab, etc..

incidentally, what is the keyboard shortcut for next/previous tab?

Did you know?

... that you can use firefox as Windows file manager?

you will need: IETab

- under IETab Options / you need to add file:///*
- now try to type c:\ and voila! Windows file manager inside your beloved Firefox.

it's an addon to firefox. get it here: https://addons.mozil...g/firefox/2390/

Ctrl+Tab to cycle to the next tab (the one on the right).
To cycle backwards, hold Shift in as well...so it becomes Ctrl+Shift+Tab.

If you're a heavy gmail user (my org has its own gmail account, with its own @ address and gmail-like website), then I recommend two things...

Gmail Notifier
Greasemonkey + Better Gmail

I use Gcal, too, so I downloaded Better Gcal as well.
