thegiftedwitch
Well, I got 2 jobs the primary one for the money (being a trainer in a call center)and the second one is for my love of it... (being a dj) so maybe I'm lucky to have both...but unlucky to no longer have time for myself...so maybe I'm not lucky at all oh well Quote Link to comment
beastmode
It must be really great to be generously paid for doing what you really want and enjoy. (sigh) Quote Link to comment

jumpman611
its easier to pursue whatever it is you're "passionate" about if you have the moolah... sad to say, its not always true that money comes with being passionate with what you do. well, come to think of it, maybe money IS my passion... hmmm. MiG-29C
If I'm gonna have it my way, I'd go for passion anytime knowing that I'm gonna excel in that field - me at my very best. I tend to think of it as not a job but a calling. I'm a believer in this Confucian saying that goes, "Find a job you love and you don't have to work a day in your life." Some are willing to settle for lesser pay because they love and enjoy what they do. It's not just about money. For some, however, it's between that or a cold hard place. Practicality comes to play and you'll have to compromise. Ever wondered why a lot of people opted to work in Call Centers instead of practicing their line of expertise? 1) There are limited openings in their field (always a possibility); 2) It's financially rewarding compared to their previous job, that they're willing to put up with the stress and stuff - read: Financial Security; 3) Job security. In the long run, regardless of the choices or career options you make, there's no such thing as an easy ride. The only easy day was yesterday. This is just my opinion. Quote Link to comment
reachard
I'd go for money most of the times eventhough you love what you are doing, you would realize that it is not enough because of what you are getting paid for. Quote Link to comment
pavilbure
money... its is why we are working... Quote Link to comment

gandararugu
if u are truly passionate about what you do, you will climb the ladder to success and money will come...For people who run after money, they usually don't end up as a happy as someone who is doing what they love. I say, follow your heart. Quote Link to comment
MuyAkYak
You have to live life with passion. Then everything else falls into place. You get motivated, you work hard, you improve your self-esteem and successful relationships. Doing all these stress-free because you are passionate in eveything you do. You give it all! chopsaki
I would agree to those who choose road 1 first and take road 2 next... but this opinion is based on my experiences...it may be different with yours Quote Link to comment
abnoys
At this point, it's money. Quote Link to comment
1800donttry
If I were to be practical, I'd say go for money. You can do what you want on the side. Besides, I'm the kind of girl who can get used to things... Things grow on me after awhile and I guess you can say that when I get used to something, I learn to like/love it. Fortunately, my passion is to take care of people. And being a doctor pays good money, baby. :thumbsupsmiley: Quote Link to comment
Touching_drip
Still money, It mightn't be able to buy happiness but It'll definitely give me choices. Quote Link to comment
jlx
none of the above. in as much as i want to say that money doesn't matter and i don't really have a problem with it but it still does matter. just because i don't have to worry much about money doesn't mean i will settle to working in the field i'm passionate about and get paid about 7k a month. NO WAY! i'm better off doing something else i also get to enjoy and get paid at least more than 2x that even if this field is not exactly the love of my life. Quote Link to comment
rub120
If im single and and my responsibility is only to myself, i prefer the work that im happy with. But if i have a family to worry, i will choose the high paying job easily. Quote Link to comment
