I'm flying to kuala lumpur this july. ill be there roughly 5 days. Please give me info about Malaysia's accommodation, tours, attractions, food, must-haves and anything else you'd like to share. :D

I'm also thinking whether to go to Singapore or Thailand by train. for those who have tried this, is it recommendable? how long is it from KL to Singapore? KL to Phuket or Bangkok?.any suggestions regarding accommodations, attractions, tours in Singapore and Thailand? :D

Is there anyone from Malaysia, Singapore or Thailand willing to give a free tour? :P

If you're going to KL for 5 days I suggest you book the train (going to Thailand or singapore ahead of time) Everything in Malaysia is done by booking in advance.

Train- going to thailand takes about 2 days while the route to singapore takes 12 hours. If you're going to singapore take the bus (travel time is around 8 hours). If you're going to thailand take the plane (travel time is around 1 hour).

Prices of consumer goods in thailand is cheaper compared to Malaysia. Prices of consumer goods in Singapore is double that of Malaysia.

For more information, try to browse the internet. Said countries have their own website.

There's not much to see or do in KL. Shopping and eating at roadside noodle stalls are just about it. For sights, you must get out of the capital and go to Penang or Langkawi or even Sabah. Should you decide to go to Penang and experience its old world charm, I would be more than willing to give you a rundown on what to do and where to go there.

I was based in Bangkok for almost 12 years, so I'll try to share my experience. The train from Bangkok-Butterworth (Malaysia) leaves Hua Lam Pong Station at 3pm daily (please check sked because they may have changed it) and arrives 22 hours later in Butterworth. If you want to go to Penang, take the five-minute ferry.

The train from Bangkok to Phuket will take about 14 hours.

The train from Singapore to KL is a six hour journey. There is a train that goes from Bangkok to Singapore, but I haven't taken that. This was the original Orient Express. I believe you can choose between economy and first class.

As for hotel rates in Bangkok, tell me what your budget is and I will make recommendations. During my last trip to Singapore, I stayed at Shangri-La Sentonsa. It's a bit pricey. But I have also stayed at Park View Hotel (81 Beach Road). Check out www.parkview.com.sg. Very reasonble rates and not far from commercial areas like Orchard Road.

During my last trip to KL, I stayed at the Federal. Check the Internet for rates. Couple of years ago it was around 60 Malaysian ringgit per night.

Lastly, I will gladly take you on a tour if you pay for my airfare! Just kidding. Have a geat trip!

It's quite expensive if you're gonna hang out at Genting Highlands (casinos, hgih-end restos, etc.), but you may enjoy the scenery. As the other fellow posted, you'll have to choose between Malaysia and Thailand. Both are great, although I may be a bit biased because I've stayed in Thailand too long! Thus, I would prefer Malaysia for two main reaons: it's not crowded and everyone speaks English. I have seen so many foreigners lose their cool in Bangkok becaue of the communication problem.

If it's an adventure and you're scrimping, stay at any of the backpacker guesthouses on Kao San Road in the old part of Bangkok. Rates are cheap and everything is on that street that will take you back to the 70s. By itself, Jao San Road is an attraction, with all sorts of characters from Rastafarians and flower people to punks and neo Nazis. You can also find all sorts of cuisine here and the bars seem to be open 24/7. Plus, it's a great place to buy trinkets and 2nd hand stuff, pirated CDs and DVDs, and any other item you can think of. Don't forget to bargain! But if you have some spare dough, check out the malls on Sukhumvit-Ploenchit-Rama I Roads. All these are accessible via the BTS (their equivalent of our MRT) Other than the malls and the street food and the temples, there ain't much more in Bangkok.

As I stated before, KL's attractions are similar to Bangkok: food and shopping. Should you decide on Malaysia, you will have a more enjoyable time in Penang, an old trading outpost founded three centuries ago by the Brits. Many colonial and historical structures have been preserved. Walk the narrow alleys and check out the small shops selling spices, food and antiques. Stay at the Cathay Hotel, which was built in the 1930s and has been preserved. Try to visit the Eastern & Oriental Hotel by the sea. Built in the 1800s, this hotel boasts of the longest seafront in the world.

Wherever you may end up, enjoy your trip!

Don't think there is a train from Bkk to Phuket (it's an island), but there are lots of flights daily. Air Asia flights are particularly cheap, but Thai has also reduced their rates to compete...

Kuala Lumpur. Place: Green Elephant, Bukit Bintang.

Got a chinese beauty named Orange. Hard Core player, nice attitude. She is willing to place, keeps on bowing as a sign of respect. She kissed me all over my back, ass, legs and down to feet.

She then do the same on my front, chest, to the balls and to "chairman". Not bad for a quick fix.

However the place is quite old, requires renovation.

For Sightseeing go to Singapore - Sentosa Island (Light Show)For Shopping and Girls - Thailand You can hook up with the locals in Thailand. Just show them around and they'll hang out with you all day and all night (if you know what I mean). But beware, when you go to the clubs, most of the women there are "working" so you have to clearly ask them if they are working or not.For Sightseeing go to Singapore - Sentosa Island (Light Show)For Shopping and Girls - Thailand You can hook up with the locals in Thailand. i havent been to thailand. between malaysia and singapore, id pick the latter for its simple lifestyle yet lavish ambiance.

if trip mo is nature, malaysia is the better choice but if your into museums, art galleries and IT shoppings, nothing beats singapore. sa sim lim square daming inexpensive IT products dun. dont go to orchard road, mahal masyado dun. better shop sa little india like mustaffa where signature items are also available but on a rather reasonable price.

if you're going for shopping or swimming in the beach, i suggest thailand.it may not be as safe before but its still a good place to visit.

malaysia's main attraction is the petronas towers and the genting highlands (if you're into casinos). food is cheap and tasty in areas such as ipoh and penang.

if you're going for sightseeing, singapore's much improved sentosa island is a must.for IT products, you can either go to sim lim square in bugis area or funan IT mall near city hall mrt.this,in my opinion,is the safest place to visit among the three.
