I was there last week to try surfing. We stayed at San Juan Surf Resort.

I am enjoying the sport now and I will go back there next month.

Btw, if anyone of you are interested to try the sport you can join us along with TravelFactor Surfvivor series.

Surf is great on the East coast once you get the hang of it: Baler (North) and Siargao (South)

I guess the not so rough tides of the Urbiztondo Beach makes it a good site for people who wanted to learn surfing.

Will be traveling to La Union last week of October for the Surf Break. I don't surf (I don't even know how to swim), will just be there to watch the festivities, take pictures, and enjoy the vacation.

@dark_horse, how much was the stay at the San Juan Resort?

It's the only first class resort in La Union.  Nice pool, spacious rooms and top of the line restaurant. Try their wood-fired oven pizza at Olives resto.  There is a casino in the compound (with an adjacent Korean resto) so you can try your luck.
