@Moon Sab: Bulovas have a good history about them. I got myself a 1940s Bulova self-winding. Each watch has its own story to tell

Ikaw pala expert sa watches dito! I've gone your route too...there's something about old watches and making them beautiful again. I have an antique Rolex Oyster Perpetual Air King, had it cleaned by the Rolex specialists, wala naman silang sinabi so I guess it's an original. It has a scratch on its glass face and some marks on the case probably because of sweating. Do you think I should go the full route and restore these too? It's running great, I just have to find an original buckle for it's leather strap.
My other watch is a TAG 2000series, the more practical ones are CASIOs and Timex!

@guysmileyz: I'm no expert, just an average timepiece enthusiast.

Full route? If you have the money to burn, why not? I assume your watch is stainless steel and covered by a plastic lens. Why not have the case buffed and for the lens, you can use metal polish to remove the light scratches. If it's a deep scratch, you may have to use sandpaper(for metal) to smoothen it out, then apply metal polish. If you want professional cleaning done, try Manila Watch Exchange in Hyatt, Galleria or Greenhills. They would recommend replacement of the lens.
As for the leather buckle, try Ebay.

I just wonder why the Philippines is such a Rolex country.

@guysmileyz: Why don't you also try the Rolex Service Center in front of greenbelt 1? If money is not a problem.

i really have no idea, dude.. guess times aren't as hard people would like to believe.. or they're just able to capitalize on certain opportunities better than anyone else. but that's just my opinion.@Ice: That's more than enough.
I just wonder why the Philippines is such a Rolex country.

i've been on the lookout for a Yachtmaster, white gold variant, men's size.. care to point me in the right direction? these things are terribly hard to find.

@vanniety: hello there!Skagen's from Denmark, right? Those thin automatic watches? What happened to your Rolex?
@ccc3:You should replace Mikee Cojuangco as the Swatch Lady.

One of my prized possessions is my Tag Blue F1, a gift from my parents back in high school. Siyempre ako first sa school to have a tag

Ice, Go to Washington in AliMall. Check if they have one. Tell the ladies I referred them to you. Or just bring cah to the Casinos and ask the financiers if they have watches to sell.i really have no idea, dude.. guess times aren't as hard people would like to believe.. or they're just able to capitalize on certain opportunities better than anyone else. but that's just my opinion.@Ice: That's more than enough.

It's just that in the Philippines, Rolex is the end all, be all of watches. But there are other watch houses(brands) to look at and, personally, they look and feel better than Rolex. It's the Rolex Mystique!
