I use IE6. Dunno, never did find the need to switch to another browser. IE also is friendly with most HTML tags, so I still prefer this.

ie is not more friendly with most html tags, its more friendly to poorly designed/written sites. if you see something that renders poorly in a gecko based browser (mozilla/netscape/firefox) but looks good in ie, that only means there's something wrong with the code not the browser.

Is that so? Hhmm...well, dunno about that. As long as this works for me, then am not complaining just yet. :)

Dude, I'd start playing around with other browsers if I were you. IE is very unstable and is most prone to malicious code than any other browser available.

Mozilla Firefox.... !

But more for the fun factor (read extensions and tabs) than performance. I find IE consistently faster on my Thinkpad P4 M w 512MB even after all the performance tweaks.

What do you guys think is the best browser?

Personally, I think Mozilla Firefox is head and shoulders above the competition.

Opera used to be my favorite, but it's slowly approaching bloatware status which is a shame since its multi-window interface is better than Mozilla's.

Internet Explorer sucks, and I only use it when I have no other choice. Like here in the office.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Thanks for turning me on to this. I've been using Firefox for a couple of days now with no problems. No issues in speed as well. the best part is I have done several scans for spyware and I have yet to see one :mtc:

This page has some pretty cool customisation ( looks, speed) for Firefox.
Get ChromeEdit extension to update the files.
