Bro we call this TAB Faults... TAB stands for Tape automated bonding.. i think can't be repaired..sorry :(
info from wikipedia:

TAB Faults
A TAB Fault [3] is caused by a connection failure from the TAB that connects the transparent electrode layers to the video driver board of an LCD.
TAB stands for Tape Automated Bonding, which is one of several methods employed in the LCD display manufacturing process to electrically connect hundreds of signal paths going to the rows and columns of electrodes in layer 6 (the transparent electrode layer) in the LCD display to the video ICs on the driver board that drive these electrodes.
If an LCD display is subjected to extreme heat or cold or physical shock, this could cause one or more TAB connections to fail inside the display. This failure requires replacement of the LCD display module itself. If these connections were to fail, the effect would be that an entire row or column of pixels would fail to activate. In the examples below, a horizontal or vertical black line would appear on the display, while the rest of the display would appear normal. The horizontal failure runs from edge to edge; the vertical failure runs from top to bottom.

LG Flatron w1942T yung ginagamit ko. Bought it at Gilmore for P9,450. Mag two years na sya this June. Never gave me any trouble. No dead pixels still. Works perfectly everytime. Satisfied talaga ako sa ganda ng resolution nya at sa color quality. Nowadays you can buy an LG lcd of the same dimensions for around P7,500 na lang

LG w2252TQ ang gamit ko sa bahay, bought last 2008 for 12k ngaun 9k plus na lng cya,, pero last month bumigay wala na cyang warranty so pinabuksan ko sa electrician samin na marunong sa LCD, puro capacitors ang may tama... sabi ni manong ang panget daw ng board and suggested na i 110w ko na lng kc pwersado daw sa 220w.. sa ngaun so far so good... mas maganda pa rin daw ang board ng Samsung or HP
