before, samsung mobiles are more geared on the cosmetic segment. but these days, they slowly are into the features segment, coupled with the cosmetic segments.

afaik, performance is good, and yes. the X and the D series are very very nice.

samsung is churning cellphones almost every week for the different markets... it's refreshing to know that they are going head to head with the more known brands... i really like their ultra edition phones... :):):)

one experience that i am having with a samsung mobile now.

i am in charge kasi of beta-testing mobile phones (and other solutions) in the market now..and smart has loaned me a D600.

although it really looks good and with a 2 mega pixel camera, my comments are:

a) cannot browse the internet using the mobile phone using GPRS. the mobile phone, once it is connected to a computer, only act as a modem which you can use for dial-up.

B) GPRS - internet browsing can only be used at the phone level.
c) crappy PC Studio software (parang PC Suite ng Nokia).
d) phone hangs pag puno na yung inbox.

Using a Samsung t509s. Its okay... but then again my requirements are pretty basic - as long as I can call and text im all set.

The t509s's camera is better than my former phone (a Nokia 6103) ... its resolution is better and it has some sort of a zoom function. Voice quality is better too. It takes a bit getting used to texting with it though.

What attracted me to it is its ultra thin and its a pretty plum color. LOL - technical features bedamned, my phone is pretty!!!

And here is a pic of my new toy:

my girlfriend bought a samsung d600 it is pretty good and can compare to the features of nokia phones. plus it has some features that nokia doesnt have like tv out and sms blocking.

the only problem i think with samsung is that they are not updating their website quite correctly especially the dissemintation of info on after sales services.

samsung d600 also has sms message boxes protection facility so every time you access the sms boxes, you need to input a password. useful for secret messages.

pwede ding gawin ito sa folders ng pictures and videos para sa mga scandals natin...

i am using a d500 and overall it's pretty nice except for its vcard incompatability

ilang beses na rin akong napaaway sa pagpapadala ng "blank" vcards

Ako im using a samsung e630 for a couple of months now. the smallest basic phone so far. I disposed my O2 Xda for this because it is easier to carry around.. it's size is a head turner!

I have a E900 phone, and i'm very happy with it. Regardless if the touch pad's too sensitive. The sound quality is good specially when i connect it to my car stereo. you can buy audio adapters in greenhills for 400 Php. You can listen to your music and by the time a call comes in the voice of the other person comes out of the audio system and the adapter has a built in mic :)

I'm planning on getting the D900. Any reviews?

I'm using D900. Great phone and great camera! Although it lacks cool features that
we are used to in sony and nokia.. still its a great buy!

slim and durable.. :thumbsupsmiley: but the available crystal cases for D900 aren't that durable. :thumbsdownsmiley:

Great camera during day time. :thumbsupsmiley: not so great during night time.
eventhough it has a flash that is LED only compared to sony's flashes. :thumbsdownsmiley:
and great video camera also.. :thumbsupsmiley:

battery life span.. not so great (maybe to me only).. dunno.. it only last 20 minutes
to 30 minutes max when im fully charged then i tried playing my MP3 or try using the camera.. :thumbsdownsmiley:

it has an internal memory of 64Mb.. I cant transfer via bluetooth directly to memory card.
so if the file is more than 64 mb i need to use the usb cable.. (damn..)

overall, for now im satisfied with my D900 because there are only few in the metro
who uses samsung.. (ayoko ng mga pangmasang mobile :D )
