Dorm ako nung first year. Masaya kasi iba ibang klaseng tao ang andun. May mayaman, may mahirap pa kesa sa daga. May mabait, may sobrang kupal! Pero worth it ang experience.

Then i moved out and rented an apartment with my closest friends nung 2nd to 4th year... Mas may privacy. walang magnanakaw ng t-shirt/polo na nire-reserve mo for that very important Thursday night date (Thursday kasi gimik day samin).

hindi ako pinayagan mag rent nung college kaya tiniis ko ang uwian araw-araw amp. nakaranas lang ako mag dorm nung nagrereview for the board exam na binagsak ko naman nyahaha. i used my own savings from my baon pa nga nun. P2250/month, walking distance from my review school so it was very convenient plus malinis yung dorm. i enjoyed my independence and freedom nun, ako nag grocery natuto ko magtipid tuloy like instead of buying gardenia eh yung ordinary slice bread na lang hahaha. natuto ko maglaba as in nagkasugat-sugat pa kamay ko kasi first time :P pati pag make ng bed natuto ko, tinuruan ako nung OC roommate ko hehehe.

ngayon balik ako sa poder ng nanay ko wehehe but i'm planning of moving out, and this time apartment naman syempre target ko.

maganda sa dorm may landlady, may curfew, may rules basically. so kahit pano mapapanatag loob ng mga magulang mo, at ikaw din. :)

ayoko ng bedspace, nakakatakot hehe saka para kang nakikitira sa 1 pamilya halimbawa. basta hindi ako comfy kaya kahit may kamahalan dorm nun for me, i still took it.

During colleage, I stayed in a boarding house so I had room mates. Pero mas masaya kung shared apartment / condo - kasi walang privacy syado sa boarding house. I remember nung nagka-curfew yung boarding house, our board mates left a window open so we had to climb the roof to get in. Theres no crap like that in apartments.

I think it really depend on whats convenient for you.. I stayed in an apartment with my sister during my highschool days.. It was convenient because my mom can visit anytime and can even sleep over. I got to learn how to cook, wash clothes, iron clothes and basically the regular household chores.. In college, my mom wants me to stay in a Dorm exclusively for girls. She has some reason and one of which is it is being run by nuns so they can look after me since its my first time in manila. Another is its a board and lodging so i can focus on my studies rather then preparing for food and all that stuff.. It was a good dorm, i met most of my closest friends there and had wonderful memories.. I miss ICLH... :( :( In Graduate school, I also stayed in a Dorm near the school.. It wasn't like my former dorm. People there was busy bee.. We don't even know the occupants on the next room.. Im currently staying in an apartment alone. Boring but I think for my age now i don't need "Curfews" (for my extracurricular activities)...
