Is bata semi-retired already?

bata is still actively playing money games and tournaments although this year has been very tough to him. he lost majority of his international tournaments. he managed to win only two international tournaments as of this time and both of them are not 9-balls, 10-balls, 8-balls nor straight pool. it's one pocket billiards. i don't know the rules but he excels in this discipline. wow!

salute to the legend.

Good luck to Efren Bata Reyes, Francisco "Django" Bustamante and Dennis "Robocop" Orcollo in their quest for supremacy in the upcoming 2014 US Open 9 Ball Championship. The road to greatness will never be easy for our Filipino pool icons as the line up also showcases other world champions in the likes of Thorsten Hohmann, Neils Feijen, Ralf Souquet, Alex Pagulayan, Darren Appleton, Earl Strickland who is going for his 6th US Open Title and Shane Van Boening who already has 3 US Open Titles and many more big names.

Other Filipinos joining the mayhem include Jose Parica, Israel Rota, Warren Kiamco and R. Genorimo.

congrats to Dennis Orcollo for being the runner up in the recently concluded 2014 US Open 9 Ball Championship...after dismantling top caliber pool players, "Robocop" fell short to the hot shooting Shane Van Boening who made a record 3 straight US Open titles. The road was never easy but Dennis rise to the challenge but unfortunately there can only be one champion. Hope next year will be payback time.

Heads up high you fought an epic battle.

Jeff ignacio., ;)

Jeff "Baba" Ignacio is one of the best pinoy cue artist. he is the runner up in the 2014 China Open. and the co-winner of the Manny Pacquiao 10 Ball Doubles in which he earned 40K USD (total of both tournaments) . This is not yet the peak of his career, I think he is just starting to heat up.

WORLD POOL MASTERS

Good luck to our very own Francisco "Django" Bustamante as he will be the lone Filipino bet in the World Pool Masters to be held in Nottingham, England on November.

MOSCONI CUP

Earl Strickland will not play in the 2014 Mosconi Cup. I don't know the reason or how did the sponsor of Team USA drafted it's players. However, Team USA will be led by sweet shooting "The South Dakota Kid" Shane Van Boening.

2015 MP World 10 Ball Championship

Lee Vann Corteza, Carlo Biado, Roberto Gomez and Ronnie Alcano are some of the Filipino cue artists who will have their round of 64 knockout match today.

Warren Kiamco and Johann Chua were only some of the few Filipino who survived yesterday's round of 64 knockout match.

Big names that have lost their chance for 10 ball supremacy were Django Bustamante, world #7 Dennis Orcollo, Thorsten Hohmann, Ralf Souquet and world#1 Chang Yu Lung.

I think 2nd place nakuha ng Pinoy in this Tournament

Good luck sa doubles event.
