Globe Telecom Service

mad.gifsa totoo lang ang bulok nang globe. laging 2g lang connection namin sa tattoo stick ko.mad.gifmad.gif

Are you happy with voice service of Globe? Lagi nalang napuputol ang connection habang may kausap ako. Tapos choppy/garbled pa kaya hinde kami nagkaintindihan ng kausap ko. :angry2: :angry2: :angry2: :angry2:

i just recently bought a new sim. I did not subscribe to any services.

however it seem Globe auto-subscribed me to Mozook which is eating up load at a rate of 10 pesos a day.

I can't even unsubscribe from the service

I suggest you call globe (211 from your cellphone; 730-1000 from a landline) and complain. I had a similar problem several months ago. I was auto subscribed to another service and kept getting billed for that service. I called Globe and they provided credit adjustments to my succeeding statements of account.

The service still isn't up to par imho. I'm on a post paid plan but the signal is very erratic. It's so frustrating making and receiving calls because I and the person I'm speaking with cannot make out what each other is saying. We are forced to resort to texting which defeats the purpose of unli calling. I can most definitely say I'm not getting my money's worth.

Globe promised LTE technology and 4G. I'd be happy just to get a signal!! :angry2:

Mahina reception ng globe. On the average, halos 40% ng calls ko kahit nasan ako, either napuputol, ndi kami magkarinigan or ndi magconnect. That's how bad it is.

Bro, this is exactly what I've been experiencing now. It's good to know I'm not the only one experieincing such poor service. I hope there and MTC member who's from Globe and is reading this exchange. Maybe he/she can enlighten us when we can expect to have improved service at this once leader in telecommunications technology. Globe seem to have fallen by the wayside.:(

I am seriously considering shifting to Smart within the next couple of months if the service of Globe doesn't improve. Problem is I'm on an unli post paid plan and most of my contacts use Globe. Perhaps I can convince them to shift to Smart as well.

And the most ironic thing about all this is I live in a village that's part of the Ayala Group. You'd think Smart Telecom wouldn't have a presence in this area but the situation's just the opposite. Go figure....

I live in a Makati Village as well that's part of the Ayala Group. I don't have a signal in the house at all. Can't even send a text, much less make a call. Baka lumipat na din ako sa Smart. Smart isn't exactly world class but at least I'm able to make calls and send text messages from inside the house. It's disconcerting to say the least since Globe already announced that it has already completed the modernization of its infrastrucuture in Makati. Nakalimutan ata nila ang village namin.

I'm still hopeful that Globe will improve its voice and data services in the Makati area as well as in other parts of Metro Manila and outside Metro Manila. I've encountered similar experiences as those who posted earlier in this forum. I've been a loyal Globe customer for over 10 years and I'd hate to shift to Smart but I may have to very soon because making calls is almost next to impossible. Extremely frequent dropped calls, extremely weak or non-existent signal, garbled conversations, late arrival of text messages, and very slow internet connection isn't my idea of a world-class telecom firm.

I'd understand if this problem is outside Metro Manila but I live and work in Makati for crying out loud. Ayala country!!

Yup this has been a problem for a while now. Good thing I'm on an unlimited voice plan. If the call drops I just call back. What I can't understand is why the signal strength is so low and erratic. People ask me why my phone is turned off. I tell them it isn't. It's because I don't have a signal!

Frustration doesn't begin to describe how I feel about Globe's service.

Park Square is now closed and slated for demolition in order to make way for a new mall/condominium, or who knows? The Ayala Group is investing so much or improvement of its commercial complex but I have yet to feel the advantages of their so called modernization program of its Globe Telecom network. I've been getting the same lousy service for many years now and it seems to be getting worse.

If there's anyone out there from Globe, kindly enlighten us about what the hell is going on with the network. Complaining is like talking to a trained monkey. They always apologize and read from a script which does nothing at all to explain why the service is getting worse.

We have a virtual monopoly in the telecom industry. There are only two major players. Globe and Smart. Some choice Filipinos have. And the Department of Transportation and Communication, which is supposed to be the public's advocate for better telecommunication rates and services, seems inutil.

I wish foreign telecom companies such as Vodaphone, T-Mobile, or NTT DoCoMo would offer its services in the Philippines to give these two virtual monopolies some much needed competition.

wireless land line service SUX

If the wireless landline of Globe is dependent on the same signal strength as its cellular network counterpart, it comes as no surprise that the land line service of Globe is likewise very poor.

So far all the feedback about Globe's network has been negative. Anyone out there with a different experience insofar as Globe's service is concerned? Any subscribers out there who are happy with Globe's service?

^signal strength is fine coz it has an external antenna, its just that its always busy when trying to contact PLDT numbers when we need to

landline was bundled with 3G which was super SUX but when upgraded to 4G things stabilized. modem hangs occasionally but its not much to whine about coz it can be resolved with a simple reset on our end

Hopefully the landling service of Globe will continue to improve in the months ahead. I hope the same is true with the mobile service. Up to now I don't have a signal in the house. I have to go to the garden to make calls. Receiving text messages is out of the question unless I place the phone in the garden. Which doesn't make any sense at all because someone may swipe it.

there are some places n good ang service and meron din slow or bad signal na mga lugar..

Bro all I know is I live in a Makati Village very close to Gloritta. Signal here is non-existent. I can't even send a text message. People can't reach me at home. I've complained hundreds of times and nothing has been done to increase the signal here at home.

I bought a signal repeater from CDR King and have been using it for over a year now. Despite this my calls are still extremely choppy. At least I can send and receive text messages. But for how long? What happens if my signal repeater breaks down? I've been asking different CDR King branches if they still sell signal repeaters but to date the answers have all been consistently no. I want to have something in reserve in case my repeater breaks down because honestly, I have no idea where to have such a gadget repaired.

The day this signal repeater breaks down is the day I will shift to Smart. I don't see Globe installing any new cell sites in our village in the near future.

The irony of it all, is this village is an Ayala village. And the Ayalas own Globe!!!! How ironic.

I called up Globe this afternoon to find out what's been happening to the signal strength. The guy from Globe told me that the area where I live is included in a list where Globe has a difficult time installing a cell site because of opposition coming from the homeowners' association. I asked him if there was anything their technical group could do to increase signal strength even slightly without having to install a new cell site. His answer was no. I would have to bring my grievance to the homeowners' association in order to address the weak signal problem.

I also told him that even within other parts of Makati, I've been getting problems such as garbled conversations, increasing frequency of dropped calls, and difficulty connecting. He couldn't give me an answer because he didn't know the answer.

When I first got my globe number 9 years ago, it was never like this. Is this what you call progress?

globe has very disappointing service. weak signal. very frustrating. sobrang delay sms messages natatanggap ko pag dito ako sa bahay.

I called my brother up yesterday. He was at Glorietta. I was at NAIA waiting for my flight. I could hardly make out what he was saying and he couldn't understand what I was saying either. Gloreitta is Ayala country. Globe is owned by Ayala. NAIA is the premier international airport in the Philippines.

So if we can't even make out what what the other is saying while at Glorietta and NAIA, what more in other parts of the Philippines?

We have gone full circle. From a monopoly (PLDT) to a de-regulated telecom industry and now back to a virtual monopoly with only Globe and Smart as the dominant players in the telecom industry. Don't we have an anti-trust law in place?

The same phenomenon seems to be going on in the US. From spin-offs which became common in the 80's, today mergers and acquisitions seem to be the name of the game. Many major airlines, banks, and telecoms have merged. I suppose to stave off economic ruin, these companies were able to justify these mergers to the regulatory agencies in America. I imagine anti-trust laws do not apply.
