4x4 Mitsubishi Montero Vs 4x4 Ford Everest

Recommended Posts

everything about choosing one between these two will be subjective. though there is one thing non-subjective that you may consider- the value of a used ford will be less than that of a mitsubishi suv. this accdg. to people in the buy and sell business.

For regular city driving, out-of-town long drives, occasional rough roads (i.e., grass, gravel, dirt, coarse sand) and light to medium loading -- Montero

For regular rough roads, offroading and heavy loading -- Everest

I have the 2005 Montero here in the city, and a 2000 Strada and 2009 Everest at our Batangas farm :)

Re: 1st row & 2nd row headroom & legroom

Everest has more headroom & legroom on BOTH 1st row & 2nd row.

Re: 4x4

The crown belong to the Everest, nothing comes close.

Re: looks

Montero got the looks.

If your kids are below 10 years old, & you love them, go for the Everest!!!

If you want pick up members of the opposite sex, go for the Montero.

I choose an Everest before, and if I have the chance to make a decision again, I will still choose the Everest.

How's the ride quality and comfort level for you, bro?

For the first row:

The ride quality and comfort is good due to the bucket seats and front double wishbone suspension.

I used to drive a 93 civic. One thing I noticed when I move up to the Everest is that like all other brands, the driver is seated close to the door. I missed the seating position of the Civic - which is closer to the middle of the car.

For the 2nd row:

You can feel the 'kick' of the rear leaf springs when the Everest didn't slow down on humps. IMHO, the seats should be a little higher, and the front part of the flooring should be angled a bit higher for foot support .

For the 3rd row:

Ford should move the 3rd seat about 5 inches (believe me, there is still room behind the 3rd seat) backwards for more legroom, and increase the headroom in order to minimize negative reviews.

If you have 2 kids below 10 years old, I think the Everest is for you.

it's the montero sport, nice SUV from mitsubishi, nice design, nice dashboard and interior layout, but one thing i do notice about the montero sport is it's magwheels the design is not nice it's like the magwheels of the late or past honda civic, compared to the new everest magwheels, the everest set of mags is nice compared to the montero sport...
