Cebu has Uptown and Downtown. I will only try to write about the Uptown hotels that I know.
Waterfront Cebu City Hotel : big and expensive. Casino is located here. I live at the back of this hotel.
Marriott Hotel : at the back of ayala center cebu. Right smack in the Cebu Business Park. Expensive also.
Regal Park Inn : Right in front of Ayala center cebu. Kinda cheap. around P1000-1800.
La Florentina Inn : Quaint and small inn for transients. Cheap too. P595? Run by a family that lives in the 2nd floor. They just have really small tv and the remote doesnt work. But cheap enough for afternoon trysts.
Myra's Pensionne : Escario St. Walking distance to Ayala and UP. P600 - 1000 rooms. Family run also.
Northwinds Hotel : Salinas Drive. Right beside Golden Cowrie. Near Waterfront. P1500 and above
Aderan Hotel : Corner of Salinas and Gorordo. Cheap. P600++ But bad location. There is a market in front. But a lot of people use the back door. They also have a MP in house.
Tonros Apartelle : Gorordo Ave. If you just need a place to stay for the night. Cheap. P600++. Has 2 beds per room. Right beside a 24hour restaurant: Kukuk's Nest.
West Gorordo Hotel : Gorordo Ave. P1000 and above rooms. Havent been inside. But looks failry decent. Family Choice restaurant is in the ground floor. Walking distance to Ayala.
GoldenPeak Hotel : Corner of Escario and Gorordo Ave. Tall building that sways, if you have sensitive ears. Expensive too. P1800 and above. But you get the best views. Better than Waterfront I would say. Just dont bring your car. The parking is HELL.
Mayflower Pension : Near Provincial Capitol. Right beside Cebu's best Pocherohan.
NS Pension : Juana Osmena: Right beside St. Theresa. Wanna ogle some high school girls. Hehehe that's the place to be. At night, there are girls also walking the sidewalks.
Case Rosario Pension : In front of St. Theresa and beside Redemptorist Church.
Cest La Vie Pension : Juana Osmena St. In front of Baseline. I like this place. It has basement parking so that your car won't be seen. Hehehe.. cheap. P595 for 24 hours.
Century Plaza Hotel : At the back of Chikaan. They got small rooms. But they have lots of rooms. If you are planning of coming to Cebu for the Sinulog. Try this hotel. Very near Fuente Osmena.
Garwood Hotel : Fuente Osmena. This used to be Park Place hotel. Right smack in the center of Uptown night life. There are slot machines in the 2nd floor. I think a MP is also located somewhere. Rooms kind look like cubicles because there are no windows. Except the deluxe rooms with a view, with a corresponding price increase.
Elegant Circle Inn : Fuente Osmena. Just a stones throw away from Garwood. Way cheaper than Garwood. You want cheaper, try the rooms at the back. They are old but good for getaways.
Cebu Midtown: Fuente Osmena. On top of Robinsons. Tallest building in Fuente. The best place to stay for the Sinulog. Nice view. Has an itsy bitsy swimming pool in the roof.
Mango Park : Mango ave (Gen. Maxilom Ave.) Nice rooms. The local version of BED is located here. Has basement parking.
Holiday Plaza : F. Ramos St. As mentioned above, in front of Thunderdome and Volvo.
Kan-Irag Hotel : F. Ramos. In front of Holiday Plaza, beside Thunderdome and Volvo. Never thought of checking in this hotel. But the restaurant is an institution. Try their pochero and sizzling pochero. 24hrs.
Diplomat Hotel : F. Ramos. In front of Bigfoot Center.
Pacfic Tourist Inn : Jones Ave. Near Capitol, in front of Cebu Doctors Hospital. Good for transients and salesmen. At night, people knock on your doors and say: "sir, tsiks kayo?"
Hotel Asia : Capitol area. Owned by a Japanese. Uses Japanese fixtures. Though they dont have the squating throne. Kinda expensive for the location. Good Japanese food of course.
There are still other inns and pension houses around the capitol area. I forgot their names. But really cheap.
Hope this guide helps. PM me if you need help.
