We recently tried Sampaguita Tourist Inn in Legazpi City, Albay
most occupants we found out are mountaineers, families with kids

The place is cheap 3 beds for 525 pesos with aircon, 575 pesos with aircon and hot water
breakfast - tapsilog 60 pesos

If you ask to go to Lady Ann's, there are a few bars near there. You should be able to have fun and meet someone. There are a couple of Karaoke clubs and GRO places in the area. That is if that is what your looking for.

Guys do you have any info on golf courses in and around the Albay and Camarines Sur areas? I'm planning to visit during the summer vacation....

Also, would you know if any of these courses are open to the public (non-members) or are they exclusive?

everytime i'm in legaspi i always look for a new hotel to try. somehow i always end up staying in venezia. hahaha.

it's comforting to know venezia's guests are mixed foreign and local tourists. maybe venezia knows how to handle a hostage crisis. hehehe

during breakfast inside their cafe, you can tell the foreigners are carrying blankets inside those big backpacks, meaning, they'll probably sleep overnight inside one of the sinuous channels in hoyop-hoyopan cave (favorite of europeans) or somewhere near mayon volcano (favorite of americans).

my main complaint of hoyop-hoyopan is the presence (non-existent 4 years ago) of electric lights inside. the trips inside the dark cave were more thrilling with only lamps and flashlights to go.

as for the cagsawa ruins (as well as the hilltop daraga church), gone are the postcard-perfect shots. thanks to the proliferating souvenir stalls that will now become part of your pictures when you shot those scenic spots. shouldn't there be a law prohibiting such profanity? these very stalls are the ones that will lessen the number of tourists going to those places.

governor jopoc and mayor lomex32, i'll settle for a strict zoning law

Hi everyone!

I'll be in Legaspi from Aug 27-29. I was supposed to be with a friend who works there but well, plans changed. I don't know the dialect but I'm hopeful it's still a pretty safe place to go even if I'm alone, right?

What are the must places to go to? I'd appreciate your help. Thanks in advance! ;)

Hi.. Legaspi is a very nice place I been there for 2 years. Try mo yung The Oriental hotel - Legaspi.. mganda yung view from your room the MAyon and the down town legaspi..

yes, legazpi is a pretty safe place to be even if you are alone.
the only thing about legazpi is that there is not much night life there.
but there are restos that offer good food for you.

dont worry going there alone. it will be fun.

i suggest that you book in st. ellis. it is located in the center of legazpi city

while oriental has a nice view of mayon, it is not conveniently located in the city.
commuting from oriental is not very easy.
