My former employer, a Japanese based in Tokyo, while I'm working from home, sent my salary via xoom.
Ok naman ang service, may tracking for the recipient to know kung ano na status. In a matter of hours pwede na pickup/withdraw ss any Equitable/PCI bank.

Medyo strict lang sa EPCI, minimum of 2-3 ids if I remember.

Received payments for side projects on several occasions through xoom. I usually ask clients to use my BPI account for the payment drop off. Usually takes around 2-3 banking days upon deposit - if there were no problems.

Xoom has a tracking section on their site where you can see the progress of your transfer.

By the way, Xoom automatically converts deposits to peso based on current rates(I think)... ;)

My first time to experience their service took me a week to pick up the money, but its ok kasi the remittance was made thru credit card via PayPal. Siguro they need to clear things from the sender's end kayo inabot ng ganoon katagal.

All is well naman. Walang hassle. Got the money from Cebuana Lhuiller.

mas maganda ang xoom at mabilis pa... in terms of charges, mas mababa ang xoom at halos kalahati ang diperensya compared to western union. :)
