meron akong exemption and clearly dun sa exemption ko may written note na you are exempted from color coding

the thing is kahit meron taung exmpetion dapat ay mag show respect parin tau sa mga pulis or traffic enforcer, dahil kawawa rin sila sa trabaho nila, maghapon ba naman na nakabilad sa araw, a little respect goes a very long way

On my coding day I get to the office before 7am...three hours before office hours start. Instant overtime. :)

If things aren't too hectic and I feel lazy, I get there at 7am, park my car, fold up the rear chairs and nap in the cargo area (my ride's a Jazz). Bihis pagkatapos.

Simple lang. The family owns shares in a newspaper company. So I get to use a legitimate "Press" sticker on my cars that match a legitimate "press" card that I carry all the time. When I am stopped, I show my ID. Sometimes they go so far as to call the newspaper to check.

Its not for everybody I guess, but if you have some sort of police ID like and NBI confidential agent's ID that will work too. Or if you have a relative who is a judge or fiscal, a sticker from the Prosecutor's League of the Philippines works nicely too. Even a supreme court sticker or CIDG sticker (although don't ask me how to get one) will work too.

Don't abuse the priviledge. If you want a better Philippines it should start from you.

I know, I know pinagalitan na ako dito. Do some back reads...

I miss read the question. Someone wanted to know what to go through to get an exemption from MMDA. I mistakenly assumed that what was wanted was a way to get around the coding scheme. It happened I had the information handy.

And yes, since we plonked money down to get into the publishing game, I feel that I rightfully am entitled to a press sticker. Why you guys assume it is being abused is probably because you see a lot of fake press stickers around. Well, we've got our share of bad eggs in this business.

Not to brag, but I do have enough cars in the garage to not have to abuse a press sticker on coding day.

I don't think these numbers are exempted. The special plates that might be exempted are those with 3 letters and 2 numbers only, such as XXX 88. Can anyone confirm this? Also, are these special plates the ones that you can transfer to a second car when you sell the first one?

Yung 3 letters and 2 numbers parang last year lang umusbong e, mostly on SUVs na luxurious like an X5 or sumtin', saka saw it on Tyson Sy's Fairlady Z.. and yes, it is a special plate and is exempted in number coding, since walang third digit na pagbabasehan ng number code.

@zanger; baka anak ka ng congressman? :)

Well I know na makakakuha ng commemorative plate, 2k lang 5 characters, di talaga siya exemption pero "nirerespeto" daw ng mga mmda and lto officials so di ka papansin pag nakaganito ka, at least that's what was explained to me. Di pa ako nakakakuha since di ko pa napapanotaryo yung deed of sale ko, after I get one and a few road tests, I'll be back on this thread and confirm to you my lovely MTC fellows :)
