Condo Unit Or House & Lot?

I agree.  But it's more for the benefit of your kids and maybe not even.  Could be grandkids and their spouses and spouses' family.   This is because by the time one has extra money for investment in land, pa-retire na.  And then it takes 20 years or more before the price moves considerably higher (i.e., if it wasn't squatted on).    Most lots don't move in 20 years or under.  By that time it will be the kids who gets to enjoy your labor.  Nothing wrong with that but I personally want to invest in a condo where I can enjoy it right away and at same time my kids who will inherit it. 

It will be totally different for people who already have inherited something at a young age from parents...like if they are already 2nd generation or older money.  I'd invest in lots too if I were 2nd generation but alas, I have zero to inherit and have to start all from scratch (renting a room until I can buy my own condo).
