"Kind words can be short and easy to speak, but their echoes are truly endless."

--Mother Teresa

Six reasons why kind, encouraging words are your best asset:

1.The power to speak healing words is available to you at all times, in all places, under all circumstances. Healing words are lighter than a laptop, more portable than a credit card. They can never be lost, stolen, or left at home.

2.Healing words cost you nothing. No matter how financially strapped you are, you can give lavishly with encouraging words.

3.Speaking kind words is a win-win situation. Both the speaker and the one spoken to walk away feeling great.

4.Healing words can calm better than a tranquilizer, with no adverse side effects. However, they are habit forming (thank goodness!)

5.Encouraging words are a non-depletable resource. No matter how many you use, you always have an unlimited supply.

6.Encouraging words yield high returns. You spend a small amount of energy and time, and the effect on the person spoken to can last for years-or even change a life.

I was taking out the trash this morning...since the trash collector didn't come for almost two weeks...

i just woke up...haven't even combed my hair yet!.... I heard the loud familliar "Honk"...and neighbors were yelling "Basura!"

i had to hurry cus...these trucks won't wait for anyone!...so i managed to grab an over sized male polo lying around somewhere..( belonging to?.... ;) )....put it on as fast as i could (i was still in my nightie!)....carried all three Humongous Black Garbage Bags on my way out...

...they are Heavy I tell you!...halfway...seeing all our neighbors outside (taking out their trashes too)...i suddenly got conscious ( i'm not used to going out of my apartment).... I was thinking...God! I look so awful....everyone was smiling at me..

...i just kept smiling back nervously ... finally i made it to where the truck was...left the garbage bags and hurried back home...

one neighbor ( ate leah) came up from behind me...i almost jumped!...she was looking at me and laughing...she said " O Bat di ka pa dun sumama sa basura?...hahaha! dapat sumama ka na dun sa basura!" ( i can very well understand what she meant by that...i know she meant that as a joke...well she said it like it was supposed to be a joke... )...so i just laughed ...while restlessly combing my hair w/ my hands and grinning silly...I said "oo nga eh...di pa kase ako nag susuklay eh...kakagising ko lang hahaha!...nagmamadali kase eh! hahaha!" ( beneath all my gigglings....i was shrinking inside...)

Nanay...one of our older neighbors....suddenly spoke....she said " alam mo anak...kahit di ka pa nagsusuklay...kakagising mo lang....napaka ganda mo parin talaga"

I was dumbfounded....for a moment there....talk about....sudden switch of emotions!

I smiled at her ( sincerely...gratefully... :) )....cause she saved what might have been a really bad day for me.

Thank you po Nanay :flowers:

1) Closest to us is not family but death.

2) Furtherest from us is not the moon or stars, but time passed.

3) Biggest is not the mountain or sun, but our lust/desire.

4) Heaviest weight is not the elephant or iron, but responsibility.

5) Lightest is neither wind or feathers, but not praying or delaying it.

6) Sharpest is neither knife nor sword, but our tongue.

"Well, you make your own decision, but sana, you pray over it, think over it, sleep over it, before you "leave" _____, if ever you make up your mind. I would say, why don't you give a try to "fit" into the new paradigm? May be later you would be able to see the wisdom of the people above, why these things are being done. Look at the wider perspective, wider opportunities that you would gain because of these "sudden" movements. Remember, your whole life might not be on _________only ... so that, when time comes for you to say good by to ______, you would look back and be grateful for the "varied" training offered to you. May be the above admins have perceived wider horizons, hopefully, having in mind only the welfare of their constituents. Basta, sa akin, hindi maganda that personnel of good standing like you, would leave _____ somewhat embittered or dissolutioned or sad. May be the present _______ is really a bit isolated from the main stream of ______ throb. See the other world."
