Recommended Posts

i experienced living away from the family for a few months... was living with my partner at that time... but im back home na hehehe... ang sarap din being away from the family... you have the feeling of absolute independence... buti na lang when i went back home i still have the same independence... no reason for me to move out again... i already have the best of both worlds... :)

Living alone taught me to be more responsible at maging madiskarte sa buhay.

It gave me the drive to be at best in everything I do, cause I know that if I don't do my job right... wala akong kakainin at wala akong aasahang iba.

It gave me the sense of fulfillment knowing that Id able to live life that I wanted it :)

Minsan nga lang malungkot.. pero ok na din, relaxed naman pag uwi kasi tahimik, with just your TV and Internet on, ok na din :)

living solo here..

twas nice to live alone since there's freedom and responsibility on what you do

-you can wear the last night's sleeping clothes all over again (even sleep in the naked)

- leave the dirty dishes in the sink and clean-up the day after

- you can try experimenting in cooking foods (dahil ikaw din lang ang kakain )

- you will learn how to budget for food, bills, recreation, and other stuff

most off all you can bring gerls and no one will know..

Living alone for the last 5 years since i decided to relocate here in GMA .

my pad rental is 4k / month ( 2 bedrooms , 1 bathroom with shower and tub , 1 kitchen , 1 dirty kitchen and living room space of 10mx10m )

electricity ranges between 600 to 1k

water bills ranges 70php - 150php

i can bring fubus without any constraints

watch porno in the comfort of my living room, bedrooms and somtimes kitchen

cook foods , without the benefit of any cookbook ( but i watch Katoque, chef-to-go, quick fire , chef anthony, FTV etc )

i have to defrost the fridge every month and throw away rotten veggies or refregirated foods fm last months cooking experiments

my wine rack is only appliance that is not permanent ( i had to move it my room if i have a female companion or place it onthe vacant room if the boys decides to party at my place on weekends )

the only folded clothes in my dresser/ cabinet are briefs and socks ( tshirts are either on the hangers or crumpled at the bottom

the kitchen and the bathroom is cleanest area

living room and bedrooms are the messiest

i have the luxury of waxing the floor 2ce a month ( i have to ... with the fluids dripping and all ... and i dont mean botled fluids )

the only time that the window curtains are washed and cahnged is if my fubus tells me to do so , otherwise it stays there for months time

my relatives, dusts the place when they bring somebody over

i have a garage that can housed 2 or 3 vehcles

all in all , 4k is a bargained, if my landowner sells the damn thing i would buy it instantly.

One good thing on living alone is being independent, you could do anything you want without people telling you what is better or what to do.

learn to budget and organize your time.

You'll pay for everything from sugar, coffee and even salt. :) Grocery, have to know when your supply be finish in a week time or two to avoid spoilage. Water and electricity usage, di pwedeng aircon all the time. sometimes fan ok na aircon kung may visitors. :D :P so budget is very important, kung hindi baka wala ka ng pang gimmick.

Time management : Laundry, sweeping the floor, cleaning the ref, the sheets, curtains, paying the bills on time, preparing your food, and making your bed. without it definitely magulo ang house and buhay mo. :D

So may ups and downs sa pagiging solo sa bahay, lalo na kung tamaan ka ng lungkot. pero may mga advantage din siya. Pero it's fun living solo.

@ kharnall

kakainggit naman ng rental mo, dami pang parking ng car. :D

@makeoutwithme

sanayan lang ata even if you're not familiar with household chores. wala kasing choice, unlike sa bahay pwedeng magutos ng juice, water and others. kung solo di naman lalapit sa iyo mag-isa ang baso. B)

Masarap ang freedom pero malungkot din minsan lalo na pag wala girl visitors.. <_<

Ups:

Anything goes, walang magbabawal

You can even be nude inside

Cool ang feeling especially when nice to look at ang pad mo

Downs:

Even if you are already attuned to living alone sometimes me sumpong pa rin ng loneliness

Magastos

Mahirap magmaintain ng linis

Sarili laba, plantsa, etc. except when gagawin ng girl visitors hehe

living solo has its advantages. lived solo for quite a number of years though. on and off.

great when you have fubus. bad when you hav to clean the place.

best way to keep it tidy is to make sure your fubus or gf would actually help you in cleaning the place.

good for personal growht really. all in all, something that you need to accomplish in life. but darn, there are just nights when it seems solitude will never end.

I may be really lucky to stay in a house in Manila, which my parents gave me. I worked before and stayed there all alone. I never payed for anything, even the electricity, gas, water bills, internet bills and sometimes even my groceries. LOL. I just lived all alone and did everything I wanted; hold parteyss, sleepovers, drink till you drop, bring home guys and GIRLS hehe! I wasnt basically independent,of course.. I just had the advantages of living alone. Although, sometimes,it gets really boring. I missed my parents and my dogs and their company. And,of course my mom's cooking and my Dad's stupid jokes, haha!

But then, I learned to value the importance of time. To value my job and be very appreciative of what I have and had. It is then, when I've learned to understand that having a job that pays me and not me paying them, I had to be on time and had to show up everyday. LOL!

some may envy people who are living alone, but it's not at all "cool" all the time.

i've been on my own for more than a decade :D

i think nasabi na lahat dito on how tough and how rewarding living alone and living independenty is :D
