When u have a red plate issued to your vehicle .. it means ur car is issued by the government and supposed to be for official use only.
you have no color coding but you will be apprehended by PNP personnel if they see you using it on saturdays and sundays.
They will check if you are on official business .. and ask for your trip ticket ... from what government agency ...

When you have your red plate dropped... you can't sell it ..
The LTO will not allow the transfer of ownership of a red plate to a private citizen.

guys!

heard somewhere that those plates bearing triple number i.e. 888 (and now,168) are exempted from color coding. is this true?

Not true ....
:hypocritesmiley:

You can check out www.mmda.gov.ph.

Last I checked the only two cities that have 12-hour coding in effect are Makati and Pasay. No window hours there

Bakit color coding? 4 lang naman ang kulay ng plaka diba? Verde(private), Roja(government), Amarillo(public), Azul (dignitaries)

Dapat number coding ang tawag dito.

Muntinlupa and Marikina City have no number coding

Other Cities they implement 10-3 leeway time

Makati and Pasay City strictly implements 7am-7pm time because of its traffic conditions
