if you just want to try, there are archery ranges that offer a class that provides everything, like DMZ archery, who charges only 200 per hour, or Kodanda, who charges 650 per hour

and when I say everything, it includes equipment, arrows, tabs, guards and trainers

now if you want to buy your own equipment and be really serious about it, that's when it starts being pricey

i've tried Kodanda and Gandiva. okay naman, good experience. it requires a lot of concentration, much harder than it seems.

Arrowland by Gandiva has branches on SM North Edsa-Annex and SM Megamall. They have packages for you to try, lowest I can remember is php250 for 25 arrows. This includes free rental of bows (recurves with sight) and instructors to walk you through the basics. BTW you have to pay for the paper target, which you can take home.

There is also a Gandiva archery range along Pioneer st, Mandaluyong. With php350 you can shoot as many arrows as you want within 1 hour, still have to buy the target.

Minimum distance on these range is 10 feet, the ones in SM can go as far as 12-15 feet. The one in Pioneer can go further like 20 feet.
