my charge last month was lower than my charge this month about 3 kwh but my electric bill still was 200php plus higher than my last months bill.. how do these guys really charge us...

its because meralco was finally given the permission to add the napocor increase circa 2006.

Sobra tagal gumalaw.

Can't wait for the monopoly to end!

napocor has finally reached the 70% privatization of their power plants
and has scheduled the bidding for its IPP contracts. they say in the middle of 2009, open access can begin

konting panahon na lang. altho unless the small consumers form a large entity, the open access era will still benefit only the large power users. as EPIRA envisioned it

meralco is provided by the erc to use 1% of the total power they sell to use in their offices, substations, etc. so far, meralco is only using 0.35% of that 1%, a testament to their efficiency.

and meralco substations and offices also have electric meters. so that the erc can keep tabs of their actual electric use, and charge them should they exceed the 1% limit in their electricity use

Meralco oepn access is now on its Phase 2 (750KW). Customer consuming at least 750KW up can now look for other RES (retail electricity supplier) which will hopefully lower down your generation charge but distribution and other charges will be still with Meralco.

Some may already know this some may don't. For those who don't please read on.

If ever you get a disconnection notice from Meralco. You are expected to pay the amount on the day that the disconnections is supposed to be taking place.

However, if you missed out on that date then Meralco will only submit a job order to have your line disconnected after 3 days which once the technician receives it is going to be up to him on how soon he can have the line disconnected.

Maybe you have around 4 days to make sure you settle the bill before the Meralco guy comes in knocking to cut your power off.

Yeah I noticed this too. :)

Greedy yan meralco. Pag may maintenance and ung power na nananakaw through jumper sinisingil nila sa consumer. Lahat ng losses tayo sumasalo. Mag isa q sa tinitirhan ko. Andito lang aq 7pm ng gabi to 8am umaga tulog pa q nun. Ang monthly bill q 2500 to 2900 lintik na yan
