For 2H of the Year

My profit goal this year is $770 per week.

2 weeks so far this year so $770 x 2 = $1.5K Target Profit YTD

Actual 2 weeks YTD Profit = $2.0K.

Analysis: $2.0K > $1.5K

Conclusion: MRS Beating the Target  B)

Kwento kayo paano nakapunta sa lugar nyo and then found the work.

Ako no secret, it's just age and I've been at work in US for almost 15 years, in addition to my 10 years in Pinas. Naturally, 25 years of work means compounding on money saved kahit basurero lang ako dito. B)

Aside from this nakuha din ako tips from my father na ni career na rin ang stocks since he retired which is a good thing to keep his mind sharp.

Once I reach 57 years of age, or 8 years from retirement age of ~65. I would sell 35% and put it in cash/money market. Kelangan medyo conservative na. Then every time market goes down 20%, I would buy 15% (from the 35% cash) which would bring my equities to 80%, cash to 20%. I would sell when it recovers the 20% drop.

If it goes down another 20% (total of 40% drop), I would buy the remaining 20% cash to bring my equities back to 100%. I would sell these 20% equities when it recovers 20% from the 40% drop.

Wahahahha..hindi malakulam yan, kundi malagayuma 😂😂😂

Wala ngang tsiks papaMRS 😂

IJR = iShares Core S&P Small-Cap ETF...representing about 600 small-cap US stocks.

Hehehe

Be happier when it's red kasi that means cheaper stocks for you to buy, Donya N. Aakyat din yan pero hanap ka na ng pang-PCA habang red. I prefer CA when red.

Haisst. Di na ko marunong magtagalog. I was thinking of the word gayuma pero di ko maisip. I even had to google tagalog for "bewitched" para lang masulat ko yung word na kulam. I use google translate sometimes to type in tagalog haha. In first place, puro whites friends ko. I live in a county that is 92% white, 6% black, 1% Latino and 1% Asian (of which mostly Indian), Tapos yung isang Pinoy family na nakilala were here illegally kaya medyo distant sila sa akin kasi alam nlla I hate illegals. I'm sure kinwento nila yun sa iba pang kakaunting Pinoys dito kaya I never get invited sa mga social gatherings nila. :D :D

Thanks.

Hehehehehe

Basta dapat maayos at steady ang cash flow at laging maisingit ang thesis writing.

May ugali kasi ako.

Natural instincts yan gusto gain Donya N. But think about it, say for example I invested P100K this year total. By end of year market dropped and it is only P50K (it can happen :)).

There are 2 ways for me to approach it. I could feel bad for losing half of my money. Worse, I might even tilt -- sell all for a loss and go away for a while, finding my energy again before I go back in. Or, I could see that end of next year 2021, the market can climb 100% and thus my P50K goes back to P100K. But here is where PCA kicks in and is really relevant. Next year, for 12 months, while the market is climbing from 0% to 100%, I am adding monthly and buying at discounted rate. So the January purchases essentially gains 100% by end of year 2021. And so forth and so on.

That latter approach was exactly what I did during this pandemic. As pandemic crushed the markets, I bought more. I found ways to channel more money into the market - like I didn't go out for travel and put the travel/vacation into investments (I was set to go to Colombia), I further limited my payments to my mortgage, etc. In short I CAd. And now, I got great profits as the market recovered all 30% lossses in US at least.

I would actually have preferred it to last longer, just like what is happening to Pinas, because PSEI is still down 21% (although it recoverred substantially already 19% of the total 40% drop).

Donya N, sarap nyang 21% discount! Think long term like year 2040. PSEI would be projected to be in the ~14000 region and you are buying now at 6000 region. WHAT A STEAL!!!!

See the similar graphs below of the 2 mindests that approach it, First is a mindset that thinks of the losses from 7742 at start of year to 6088 as a 21% drop.

Or the second mindset where you could see it the way I see it as 21% discount which gives you a future return of 27% from 6088 to 7742, when it fully recovers. :D.

I have yet to fully understand charts, fundamental, and technical analyses when it comes to studying the markets.

I do agree with you, though, now is a good time to take advantage of PCA. Waiting for August and to arrive so that I can infuse some cash in my port. :)

New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Florida, Orlando, Chicago, Arizona, Minneapolis, Nevada at Philadelphia. Wag mong sabihing wala dyan yung lugar mo?

Stick with PCA.

I'm in Old Hickory, TN. Zero Statte income tax, 1% only in capital gains tax (whicll will be 0 next year), 2.4% only in property tax, public schools are rated 9 of 10 for all elementary, middle and high school levels. The entire area is like a giant park - so beautiful to look at. I also love country music so I get to watch live country music any time in the 30 minute trip to Nashville. . But Nashville is not only country, it is the music capital of US so artists from various genres come here. I have watched some of my favorite bands perform live like Merle Haggard, AC DC,comedian Steve Martin (do you know he is a great banjo player?) and others - but mostly I support yung upstarts, mga pasikat pa lang. Getting older I have added symphony in my culture so I own a box seat in one of the best symphony halls in the world - Schermerhon.

The other thing is salary is 6-digits whih is the same as working in a big city like SF or NY. But I get lower cost of living kasi nga the prices adjust to the median of the populace's affordability.

I bought a waterfront property so I live in front of one of the creeks from our lake. Pwede na pampraktis ng kayak.

Every summer we have a Fun Run. Fun Run here is not jogging, it's boating. I would rent a boat or go with a buddy's boat. My last was in 2018 and supposed to be this summer kaso nagkaCovid.

To give you idea of my neighbors.

I forgot to mention the weather. We have great balance of the 4 seasons. Nothing extreme but we get to enjoy snow and heat on mild levels during each season. I lived in CA and we don't get snow there, and I lived on the other side, VA, and during winter we get snoe but we get too chilly as well due to the breeze blowing from the Atlantic Ocian. And Spring here in TN is spectacular due to the vegetation we have. It's nothing I've seen either in CA or VA.
