Team Asia successfully defended the crown as the team of captain Rubilen Amit, sweet shooting Chen Siming, ice girl Jennifer Chen and pretty face Eunji Park reign supreme over Team West (captain Ewa Laurence, Karen Corr, Vivian Villareal and another pretty cue artist Jennifer Barretta).

Team Asia controlled the first two days of the competition with a 7-4 lead over Team West at the end of Day 2.

The first half of Day 3 revealed a different story as Team West's powerhouse player Karen Corr demolished her opponents in 3 diffrent matches Park, S. Chen & J.Chen/E.Park in a doubles match which tied the score at 7-7. The tie breaker was a 3 on 3 wherein Team Asia bested Team West to go up 8-7. Things get a little bit exciting when the 4 on 4 match began. It was the perfect time for Team West to tie the match again but thanks to the steady nerves of Team Asia and some big mistakes from Team West as Team Asia went up the hill at 9-7. The next match was Amit vs. Villareal. In this match Rubilen did not waste this golden chance to seal the win for Team Asia and so she does. Team Asia are once again Queens Cup Champions.

8 Ball

8-balls requires dead-center pocketing, supreme cue ball control skills and excellent table management which also applies to the other disciplines of billiards, however, in 8 balls you and your opponent have numerous object ball scattered around the table so it's hard to play safe and one mistake can make a big difference.

As of now only Efren Reyes (2004), Ronnie Alcano (2007) and Dennis Orcollo (2011) are the only Filipinos who were able to attain the title of World 8 Ball Champions.

The 2015 World Pool Masters is scheduled on August 14-16, 2015 in Manchester and for the first time current World No. 1 Carlo Biado will join this prestigious billiard event. Of course last year champ Shane Van Boening will be there to defend his title.

Only two and a half filipinos have grind their way to win this prestigious title. Django Bustamante (1998 & 2001), Dennis Orcollo (2010) and Filipino-Canadian Alex Pagulayan (2008). and yes, that is right...the legendary Efren Bata Reyes has never won this title but who knows the legend's career is not yet over.

Filipino-Canadian Alex "The Lion" Pagulayan bags the 4000-Added Professional One Pocket Event hosted by Buffalo Billiards.

Looks like momentum is on his side for the upcoming Make It Happen One Pocket Tournament on June wherein the legend Efren Bata Reyes will compete against the world's best cue artists.

The World Cup of Pool will be coming again on the 22nd-27th of September. Last year's defending champs the pair of Lee Van Corteza and Dennis Orcollo fell in the hands of Team Finland in the quarterfinals.

Can Team England (Appleton/Boyes) defend their title? Can Team Holland strike back after losing back to back championship? Can Team Philippines recover from an early quarterfinals exit last year? Who will compose Team USA this year to stop the title drought? Will the other countries unleash their pool beasts to etch their countries on World Cup of Pool supremacy?

Can't wait for this exciting tourney. Let's see what will happen.

It's on!

The WPA World 9-Ball Championship will start on September 7. The 9-ball supremacy is once again up for grabs.

Can Neils Feijen defend his crown? Can Dennis Orcollo win it this time? Can Albin Ouschan bounce back from last year finals loss? Can Shane Van Boening bring back the glory for USA? Can the dark horses pull the upset switch to sent big names packing their bags early in the tournament?

Good luck to our Filipino cue artists! (Carlo Biado, Dennis Orcollo & Warren Kiamco are assured, the rests to be announced)
