Workout Soundtrack

Recommended Posts

This could also be in the Music Section, but it seemed more appropriate to post here.

Anyway, please post your suggestions as to what music would be great for :

0) Warmup

1) Cycling/Spinning (esp. Cosmic Cycling/RPM)

2) Anaerobic Workouts (weights)

3) Cooldown/Stretching

At present, I usually just play a lot of HEAVY ROCK on shuffle (from AC/DC (Back in Black, Whole Lotta Rosie, etc) and Breaking Benjamin (Follow You,etc)) for weights, and Reggae for Cooldown/Warmup/Stretching. It's ok, but am looking for some variety (actually tried to listen to some ballads...haha didn't work)

Am PARTICULARLY interested in the soundtrack(s)/sequence* that they use for COSMIC CYCLING/RPM/SPINNING....would love to ask the instructors, but I rarely get a chance to attend their time slots. I usually end up spinning alone , and I would like to use the same soundtracks/sequence that they do.

*i think this is also predetermined by the tempo of the song? like it starts slow and escalates to a peak then slows down for cooldown?

Specific Songs/ Sequence appreciated.

Let's make SWEAT music together! ^_^

Cheers!

godsmack, sevendust, acdc, metallica, rob zombie, korn, linkin park,

new found glory, the starting line, me first and the gimme gimmes

2pac, dmx, dr dre, eminem

Did you swipe my iPod and copy my playlist?

This is almost what I have ... but my current fave is my Godsmack selection...

I also have some Deftones, Dishwalla, Nirvana and Pearl Jam thrown in for good measure.

Oh and a weird thing bout me is I turn my music off during cool down/stretch ...

:D

bro,

if you get the chance, pakitanong naman yung mga track titles nila (gex and rpm/cosmic), want to have a similar playlist kasi when spinning solo. :)

yup am a member of ff...FATness first. haha.

i was only able to attend Cosmic once and rpm once. di kasi magkatugma sa sched. :(

based solely on the two sessions i attended....rpm is more straightforward spinning.....pedal, sit, stand, rest. cosmic has more "maarte" moves like leaning forward, side to side, wiggling (?) etc. so i would assume it uses up more calories. plus, the instructor (michelle i think?) is trimmer and hotter. yung instructor sa rpm machuba din for some weird reason eh. parang hindi inspiring. heheh

anyway, any info on the tracks they use for these sessions would be greatly appreciated. cheers!

If its an official Les Mills release (owner of the FF franchise), the track listings are usually listed in their website. Thats how I was able to put together the Body Balance tracks (circa 2003) before I left for the US.

Got the track listing, used limewire ... burnt it.

Do a google to find the exact website of Les Mills then do a search on "classes" or "track listing" - I remember theres a pull down menu for it.

Crap...can't find "Round and Round" (Rhythm Twins). :(

This is a really bouncy and energy-boosting song I remember from RPM31.

Help....?

Heyy the tracks youve downloaded... can you do a .rar file on it and post a link here so we can download it too? :)

Thanks :*
