I wouldn't say immune but it offers protection for the virus.  Remeber that it can be spread throiugh oral sex as well so keep that in mind.

hows that possible, kala ko penetration, blood transfusion, or shared needles lang para mahawa ka ng herpes or any kind of STDs

pakilinawanagan nyo nga ako doc, mahahawa ka ba ng herpes(of course, assuming that your partner have one) kapag:

nakipaghalikan ka,

you let her s**k your p***s,

you l**k her v****a,

f**g**ing her

what are the possibilities that you will contract herpes w/ this kind of "activities"

thank you.

I think you have Herpes confused with HIV dude. In any case HIV is also transmitted through saliva so here's an article that should clear things up a bit

How can a person get genital herpes?

Any person who is sexually active can get genital herpes.

Herpes is transmitted through direct skin-to-skin contact. This occurs when a contagious area comes into contact with a mucous membrane, primarily the mouth and genitals.

Most skin on the body is too thick for the virus to go through.

If a person with oral herpes performs oral sex, it is possible for the partner to get genital herpes.

If a person with genital herpes has sex, it is possible for his or her partner to get genital herpes.

Herpes can be transmitted when there are no symptoms present.

There are several days throughout the year (called asymptomatic reactivation, asymptomatic shedding or subclinical shedding) when a person can be contagious without having a symptom.

There are no documented cases of a person getting genital herpes from an inanimate object such as a toilet seat, bathtub or towel. Herpes is a very fragile virus and does not live long on surfaces.

Thank you sir,

what if a person w/ genital herpes only performs oral sex, is it possible for her partner to get oral herpes and genital herpes? or a person w/ oral herpes performs sex, is it possible for her partner to get genital and oral herpes?

ibig sabihin ba na - no symptoms present is passive yong virus- and yet mahahawa ka pa rin?

anyway which is more potent oral or genital herpes? (magkakaanak ka pa ba pag meron kang herpes? may epekto kaya ito sa magiging anak nyo - mahahawa, birth defects, etc.)

Herpes Tests

Test Overview

Herpes testing is done to detect the presence of the herpes simplex virus (HSV). An HSV infection can cause small, painful blisterlike sores of the skin or the tissue lining (mucous membranes) of the throat, nose, mouth, urethra, rectum, and vagina. A herpes infection may cause only a single outbreak of sores, but in many cases the person will have recurrent outbreaks.

There are two types of HSV:

HSV type 1 usually causes cold sores (also called fever blisters) on the lips. HSV-1 is generally spread by kissing or by sharing eating utensils (such as spoons or forks) when sores are present. HSV-1 can also cause sores around the genitals.

HSV type 2 usually causes sores in the genital area (genital herpes), such as on or around the vagina or penis. HSV-2 also causes the type of herpes infection seen in babies born to women who have genital herpes. HSV-2 is generally spread by sexual contact. HSV-2 rarely causes sores elsewhere in the body.

On rare occasions, HSV can infect other parts of the body, such as the eyes and the brain.

To determine whether sores are being caused by the herpes simplex virus, different types of tests may be done.

Herpes viral culture. Cells or fluid from a fresh sore are collected with a cotton swab and placed in a culture container. A viral culture is regarded as the most specific method of diagnosing a genital herpes infection.

Herpes virus antigen detection test. Cells from a fresh sore are scraped off and then smeared onto a microscope slide. This test detects markers (called antigens) on the surface of cells infected with the herpes virus. This test may be done in addition to or in place of a viral culture.

Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test. PCR testing can be done on cells or fluid from a sore or on blood or on other fluid (such as spinal fluid). PCR detects the genetic material (DNA) of the HSV virus. This test can distinguish between HSV-1 and HSV-2. The PCR test is not commonly done on skin lesions, but it is best for testing spinal fluid, for rare cases in which herpes may be causing infection in or around the brain.

Antibody tests. Blood tests can detect antibodies that are made by the immune system to fight a herpes infection. Antibody tests are occasionally done but are not as accurate as a viral culture at identifying the cause of a specific sore or ulcer. Antibody tests cannot distinguish between a current, active herpes infection and a past infection. Because antibodies take time to develop after the initial infection, a positive antibody test may not be present if you have recently been infected. Some blood tests can diagnose the difference between HSV-1 and HSV-2. The results from an antibody test called an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA, EIA) may be available in about 2 hours.

Tests for HSV are usually done only for sores in the genital area. In rare cases, the test may be done using other types of samples, such as spinal fluid, blood, urine, or tears.

It is estimated that 50% to 80% of adults in the United States have HSV-1 and 20% have HSV-2.

A herpes infection cannot be cured. Once you become infected with HSV, the virus remains in the body for life. It "hides" in a certain type of nerve cell, causing recurrent outbreaks of sores in some people. Recurring infections can be triggered by factors such as stress, fatigue, sunlight, or another infection, such as a cold or flu. Medication can relieve symptoms and shorten the duration of the outbreaks, but medication cannot cure the infection.

A different herpes virus (called varicella zoster) causes chickenpox and shingles.

hmmm.. it is a given fact that most of us here (MTC male population -ME INCLUDED ) has the finances to avail of the services of our beloved girls from the escorts thread... A few months ago there was this "scare" among the members when someone accused one of our escorts that she "inflicted" him with STD.. THe girl had herself tested with the help of some moderators at ST. Lukes Hospital and has proved herself clean... The accuser guiltily dissapeared...

But now their numbers are increasing... PWEDE BA TAYONG MAGKAROON NG CHECKUP FOR HORNY MEMBERS TO MAKE SURE THAT WE DON'T CATCH ANYTHING UNHEALTHY?? I know that we should all be responsible to our ownselves.. Embarassing man o hindi pero kailangan nating gawin... :( :(

Any brand you could recommend at magkano?
