What dog is best for condo living?

guys, i need suggestions. my condo only allows toy dogs. i don't like chihuahuas and shih tsuz. was thinking of maybe getting a pug, but someone told me they have a certain odor to them. the dog has to be quiet and not bark too much, with a good, docile nature. any ideas?

Try to look up Mini Dachshund.

thanks for the suggestions, guys! still haven't decided, but at least you gave me good options. i love the pitbull idea the best, as i've had pitbulls before, but they're hardly toy dogs and the association would boot us both out as soon as they find out.

My pits are just 17 inches tall so just about the size of a large terrier. Don't have the ears done, it would make them look nasty. But since they're more than a foot wide and really muscular, I guess you can't downplay the intimidation factor. Since you've owned one, don't you miss their sweetness, loyalty and playful nature? And oh when it comes to hygiene, they are one of the more neutral smelling dog breeds. But they do need to be walked. Their poops are anything but tiny! Perfect companion for a lady who knows what she wants and does not care for stereotypes. It's like making a statement, in a way.
