The Nissan Owners Thread

Recommended Posts

Nissan has a very good reputation here in the US. Not on the same par as Toyota pero a close second like Honda. I've had a Nissan since 1995. I had a 1995 Pathfinder and then traded it for a 2000 Pathfinder that I still drive today. Ok ang performance and both models score high in Consumer Reports' reliability ratings.

As for Nissan's bad reputation in the Philippines, the Filipino salesman who sold me my 1995 Pathfinder told me that he used to work for Mantrade sa 'Pinas. Sabi niya na when the Sentra was marketed in the Philippines, hindi raw original na Nissan Sentra shocks ang nilagay sa Sentra. The shocks used were from existing stock and that's why maraming underchassis problems ang naranasan ng mga Nissan owners. Pero dito, I've never had such a problem with both my Nissan vehicles.

Parang totoo ata yung about shocks. Yung Nissan Sentra namin b4 1990 1.4 SLX, nagkaproblema sa shocks... I cannot recall the actual scenario pero pinalitan yun shock absorber for warranty claim...

Tagal ko ng nissan owner....

Present ride .. Nissan Serena QRV

Past ride.. 1990 Nissan Sentra SLX, 1997 Nissan Vanette SGX, 1996 Nissan Terrano ES (gas)

Ive been using my Nissan Cefiro 98 model till now ok pa ride nya at malamig pa ring yung aircon.

So far till now wala pa nasira sa kanya sulit talaga.

It is true na medyo mahal ang part ng Nissan that is because matibay yung mga parts nya ang kunti lang mga fakes. I believe na mas mahal ang parts ng Honda compare to nissan.

I think people are still embarassed to own a Nissan. I mean, why get a Nissan if you can get a Toyota, a Honda, or a Mazda? I have a Schwinn myself.

Hi, I own a nissan and am not embarassed to own one (pasencya na po). I have a toyota LC,a toyota altis, a honda civic but guess what, it's the patrol that performs extremely well and the aircon is like being in the north pole whenever it's on. Not to mention the comfortable leather seats. I guess.. sorry to not being in conformity to people being embarassed by owning a nissan. :( :(

I own a nissan too and I have never for a single moment thought it embarassing. Maybe this really depends on a person's maturity. Considering what other people may think about a certain brand tends to be one of my last and least priorities in choosing a car. Although I used a civic as a daily driver for economical reasons, I really enjoy taking out my patrol safari whenever I can.
