WWII is the testament that the ROTC program works

I'm ok with the return of ROTC. However, the system has to change. First, it has to be voluntary. Second, government should provide volunteer cadets a modest training allowance that will cover uniform, combat boots, paraphernalia, training handouts, bivouac, etc. Proponents of reviving the ROTC program say ROTC will promote nationalism and instill discipline. This is a very limited view of ROTC. The ROTC program should prepare the volunteer cadets to be effective members of a citizen army who are ready to be called in case of national emergency, be it war or response to calamities. The government might as well revitalize the Boy Scouts if their only objective is to promote nationalism among the youth and to instill discipline.Ā

ROTC experience grabe corruption. Binabayaran attendance.Sayang Sunday mo. Wala ka naman matutunan na hindi mo pa alam nun CAT like mag assemble ng M 16 at clavier 45 na naka blindfold at time pressured, Ā grenade throwing, map reading at commando crawl.
Madami pa kalokohan. May isang whistleblower nga sa school pinatay. Pinalabas na kidnap for ransom since Chinese sya.
