To everyone, I will be going to shanghai next month for a business trip. Usually, my usual business trip would take half a day, and the rest would be leisure.

What are the places to go in Shanghai that one should not miss out? I will be there for 4 days and 3 nights. Any suggestions? I would greatly appreciate if you can suggest a place. Moreover, how's the weather there? culture? what to avoid?....

I will be staying at the Mayfair Hotel.

Thanks a lot in advance.

Cheers.

China has opened its doors to the world. It is now considered as one of the emerging markets where in all business are heading to. Given the humongous population and its goal to go western, it gives good value for business and good opportunity to people. The most developed places to be in for me are Shanghai, Hongkong and Beijing...other provinces are still doing efforts to catch up with the change in time. Shopping is very cheap. Lots of food choices. Good historical artifacts and architecture. One not so good quality though is hygiene.

nonetheless, i love going back to Shanghai...and will still go back. :)

I would love to go there to work kung meron man....

We all have to admit that the sleeping giant is starting to stretch its muscles. Currently China is the number 1 consumer of oil, a clear sign of industrial awakening.

I relent other people downgrading chinese goods kesyo "made-in-china", true that the quality of their products were inferior but the cool thing is they are constantly renewing their technological knowledge.

To top that, they just sent their very first manned space flight some months ago .... a manifestation of perseverance to be world class.... a real power to beckon.

Hope we could too someday.

been to china for many times but i still fine the place not that good, especially the attitudes of the people, sana naman mag improve sila kahit konte noh...

oh well...some provinces are still under developed. with regard to attitude, it is their culture. but in my experience, i havent experienced bad treatment from them so far...but i know some of them doesnt have the "acceptable" manners we expect..but nonetheless, i love Shanghai. :)

Underdeveloped is a weak word. POOR is appropriate.

Shown in National Geographic. Children aged as early as 5 run and beg to incoming passenger trains for food and alms. Kakaawa talaga.

Bill Gates dream or vision that one day all homes in the worl will have a computer.

He realized his vision was more dificult than NASA going to Pluto when he went to far flunk provinces in China. They could not even afford food, how much more to a computer.

yung mga old people i think wala masyadong manners n etiquette, yung tipong sisingitan ka sa pila, agawan ka ng pwesto, pero yung mga younger generation ok na, deyr starting to learn good manners n proper etiquette :)
