150-250 nung college

P200/day. became P250/day during the last half, though.

i was part of a carpool system so that took care of my rides. food wasn't so expensive within the campus so it wasn't really a problem. it was only a problem when i was dragged to eat with my friends along those restos in katipunan... or when, for some unforseeable hitch, i had to take my own car (toll fees and gas were exorbitant even then)... or when i kept on insisting to buy blue seal cigarettes because the local ones made me sick. hahahaha. that was funny how stupid i was.

but that amount was manageable. not too little, not too large. i was surprised with some of my contemporaries who received P500 or more a day and didn't think twice to drop half that amount for lunch. i don't think twice about it now either. but during that time, when everyone else was making do with siomai and rice, i felt a certain responsibility to learn the value of money.
