yeah my bad.... intercosmos is the registrar..... invision is the hosting company...

10gig/day traffic is not bad sir.... but our population is getting big...

our file download everyday is actually humongous....

anyway, this is just what i noticed.... :D

by the way... the 10 gig.day traffic i believe is the alotted bandwidth... so that means its not unlimited... and its good only for a month

sa ngayon.. ang bilis ng postings ko.... galing...pero kapag umaga na...bumabagal..... traffic nga talga cguro...dami na kse adik sa mtc eh....hehehehe

sir, may suggestion po kse ako.....

we can get a hosting package with 2GB of storage with 20GB of data transfer and 50 mailboxes for the mods... kaya nga lang medyo mahal...about $150.... pero libre 1 year for the domain name transfer

eto naman eh suggestion lang po....:D

Way back when, we were using a shared hosting package and because of our traffic the host asked us to move to a dedicated server. 2GB of storage is nowhere near enough space to host this site, as it is the DB alone is over a Gig and the other misc files are over 3 Gig. Thanks for the suggestion though. Might I suggest you take a look at the site stats posted in the help section to give you an idea of the kind of traffic we do.

yeah ill do that sir.... sensya na po....

this is my job kse eh....:D hosting and domain registration...

good morning.... by the way, thanks for the access.... i hope the sportsfest will be a success.

A little patience would do rather than whine about the site's performance ... why don't you guys exert a little more effort to be patient ...will you?

Hi Bizman,
I really have no problems with the response time with the new servers however I am still experiencing the 'Server too busy' problem during peak hours. I access the board from the US using a DSL connection on a Pentium 2.4 GHz machine with 512 MB dual channel DDR memory. Being an IT professional, i think there are a lot of ways to fix the problem. Here are some of my suggestions: (1) replicate image files to another machine or website so that host www.manilatonight.com is not using it's limited resources in responding to request for relatively large static files, such as, JPG, Flash, BMP, etc. This will also significantly lower your bandwidth requirements; consequently freeing more host resources at the same time. You can buy disk space from other ISPs at a much lower cost to house these large files (2) if you are using Windows as your host operating system, consider moving to a Linux or UNIX machine which has a significantly broader resource base; you'll have significantly more concurrent users than you have now. Invision Powerboard will definitely run in a Linux/UNIX machine since it is based on PHP (3) consider also load balancing where you can have replicated instances of Invision Powerboard on a number of machines (4) move the MySQL database to a different machine to free resources on just one machine; or, load balance as well. These are just suggestions. More power to you.

I can't help but respond to this. As we all know, the words "patient", "patience", "pasensiya" are terms Filipinos are so notorious in using; its almost close to a knee jerk. Don't people take constructive criticisms anymore?

looking through the help files for more information.

The error returned was:
Sorry, the server is too busy to handle your request, please try again in a moment"

i always encountered this message when its peak hours...
