OK Guys and Gals...

Which Restaurants do you recommend if you're...

A ) Taking your Wife/Husband/Girlfriend/Boyfriend for a romantic dinner "just because" or if you're celebrating an Anniversary or Monthsary?

B ) Going on a First Date and want to impress your date?

C ) If someone asked you out on a date and told you to pick ANY Restaurant of YOUR choosing! (price is NO object!)

D ) If you're with your barkada and you're the one to Libre kasi it's your birthday or other celebration?

I would like to recommend the Gumbo Restaurant located at the seaview? side of

Mall of Asia.

First, you have to like New Orleans cuisine. After the demise of "Taste of New

Orleans" in Greenbelt, I have been searching for good Louisiana cooking.

Their Gumbo here is very good - ask for seafood instead of chicken. And since

I like spicy food, I asked for the original flavor (which is spicy) instead of Mild.

If you wanted to 'maximize' your Pesos with the barkada, just order extra

steamed rice, as there's lots of Gumbo stew, and they only have a very small amount

of steamed rice in the middle of all that delicious gumbo.

I love this place, along with the periodic shouting of "Gumbo" and "Jambalaya"

emanating from the kitchen crew at the open-look kitchen.

Lots of other food in here - baby-back ribs, steak, chicken, oysters, pizza, pasta.

And the next time I go back, I plan to try their alcoholic Hurricanes - so, this

time, a food AND DRINKING trip without the kids, and lolos and lolas...
