Keeping The Long Distance Relationship Alive

Recommended Posts

LDR? kalokohan un... For me walang nagtatagal n lrd... Maybe it works but not longer... I mean sa panahon ngaun? Wala n may kaya iilan n lang b matinu s mundo..

I dont think so. Iam a OFW and im happy with my relationship. All it takes is trust. tsaka mas madali n nga ngaun dahil sa technology unlike noon.

I guess consistent chats and kahit sobrang busy with different time zones kami, we tend to send cheesy hellos & ILYs, kumain ka na ba and what happen with our day araw2. i’m into this super toxic job but ang swerte ko sa current partner ko na super understanding and malambing plus malibog din. We have steamy SOPs and he never fails to get me wet kahit over chats lang. I agree it could really be hard at times lalo kapag miss nyo isat isa and you wish to be with him nalang and magkasama kayo palagi.

Generally mahirap talaga ldr lalo na if we are talking years.

If once a year lang nagkikita, masakit din for me sabihin pero mas magiging good for both parties na cool off muna. It will let both of you grow as a person and character to meet and learn from other people and culture. And if you are really meant together, love will find a way sa huli. Of course, Im referring to 2 people with the most sincere of intention and trust with each other.

Now if you feel na you've grown enough and that you can already see her/him as your future hudband/wife, then by all means do everything you can to be with her. Lay out a plan. After 1,2,3 years nakadecide na kung paano kayo magsasama ulit.

Statistics show that 90% of LDRs end up failing. After all, proximity plays a huge role in nurturing relationships. For the 10% that were successful, both parties actively found ways to communicate with each other on a consistent basis.

LD relations don't work. For some it only lasts because of lies, deceit and cover ups. Now to be clear this is applicable to those who don't see each other at least twice a month. For the rest, you may want to stop fooling yourself so you could avoid wasting your time for something that has a higher chance of failing. End it and move on as soon as you can.

Will never work...me maximum shelf life lang kasi ng 7 years average...then the 70/30 principle kicks in and takes care of the rest for either you or the other person... :D

what is the 70/30 principle sir??? if i may ask....

just to be on topic.....maybe 5-10% lang nag survive sa ganito...my cousin learned this the hard way...2 years lang siyang nawala nag break sila nung GF niya.....considering 8 years na sila then mag aasawa na pinsan ko after just meeting the girl less than 2 years....

brother...walang 100% na tao ever...habang tumatagal and relasyon natin max out to 70% efficiency individually (maybe 80% at most) palaging complimentary to 100% both ways...kapag BF/GF lang darating yung 70% constant ceiling point at 30% discontentment point...kaya bro or babes man palaging "naghahanap" o "tumitingin sa iba"...kasi nagiging napaka predictable, dependable at boring ng 70-80%...yung 20-30% excitement e nakakabuhay naman talaga ng dugo...kaso vicious cycle nga lang palitan mo man yung 70-80% na "investment" mo...yung bago mong 20-30% well mag max out din eventually to 70-80% until mag-commit na kayo till death do you part...then your pieces are made whole...

so eto yung secret sauce kung bakit di nagtatagal talaga ang mga long distance relationship...either time and boredom gets you or fear overtakes you...kaya maniwala kayo ke Queen Bee...put a damn ring on it if you think it's really worth it (for all genders itong abiso na ito)...
