Spent some time in Kandy - the tea capital of Sri Lanka last year - an amazing place and great tea if you are into it. Stocked up on a lot of it.

The one that I like but that I haven't seen here is Lapsang Souchong - I drink the Twinings brand of this but haven't seen any other brand of it either. The tea originated in China's Fujian Province and Taiwan. It gets a very distinctive smokey flavour as they put the leaves on bamboo trays and allow pinewood smoke to permeate them.

If anyone knows where I can buy it in Manila I would be most appreciative.

You may want to try LiLi Restaurant at the Hyatt Manila and Casino. They have a tea shop where they sell an assortment of tea leaves.

Not much of a tea person but when I do,

1. I prefer black tea with milk for breakfast or in the morning;

2. Oolong tea during the day and with meals

3. If oolong is not available, jasmin during meals

4. Green tea with toasted rice or simply green tea with Japanese meals

5. During a hot summer day, I mix oolong tea with shochu with alot of ice!!!

There is really no red tea and yellow tea..

lipton yellow label is its premium black tea segment. red tea is basically a type of flavored green tea ( ginger ).

Have recently tried Lipton Peppermint flavor which came from Indonesia and its really good. i recommend you try it as well.

he might be referring to black tea, which is known as 'red tea' translated from chinese

oh i love teas. i love almost all sorts of teas. one tea i'm not really into is oolong tea.

and i don't like those store bought teabags. i prfer mine in vacuum sealed packages either indivually wrapped or as a whole. those u find in the supermarket are not good. i'm not sure how to put it. more like they have more tannin or the likes. i suggest to simply try drinking both and see how it feels. one is smooth and easier to swallow than the other.
