totoo lahat sinabi nyo, kaya lang ang nakikita ng iba ung kagandahan lang ng dubai. 100% tax free, low crime rate, world class amenities etc..

on the other side, dami rin disadvantage i'm working in dubai 3 yrs na. sa sahod kung i convert mo sa piso malaki talaga kaya lang gastusin dito malaki rin, actually di naman tax free kala mo lang kasi indirect tax ang nangyayari bakit kamo. may parking fee ultimo sa tapat ng simbahan almost 85% ng road may bayad. upa sa bahay grabe 1 bedroom hall ang upa 40K UAE dirhams (600K Peso) house & lot na yun, bayad sa kuryente at tubig grabe din.

 

ang daming visit visa ngayon dito grabe ang mga kabayan na sinasamantala ang sitwasyon sa totoo lang daming pok_pok na pilipina wala na eh gipit na ang iba patol na sa ibang lahi

 

sa totoo lang napasama yata ang palabas na DUBAI film kasi ang totoo lang dun sa kwento pagiging babaero ni aga at siksikan sa kwarto at carlift ni john lloyd.

 

opinion lang, apply na lang sa legit agency o kaya may kamaganak ka dito. kung may makuha mang offer pigain mo na sa umpisa pa lng kasi hirap makipag nego ulit for salary increase

mga sirs mataas na po ang crime rate sa dubai compared 4 years ago my holdaper na nga at rapist majority pakistani...nabalitaan nyo ba lately yung magasawang lebanese na pinatay at nirape pati yung lalaki ni rape... ok sa dubai kaya lang tsambahan sa paghahanap ng trabaho.. ang laging hinahanap sa UAE yung meron atleast 2 years gulf experience...sa mga pupunta sa dubai na wala pang papasukan at naka visit visa try nyong applyan Jumeirah, Burj Al-Arab, wild wadi or kahit saang establishment na shiek ng dubai ang may ari maliit ang salary pero libre accomodation at pagkain. grabe mahal ang upa dito sa Dubai...then pag may relevant U.A.E experience na kayo tsaka na lang kayo lumipat sa ibang trabaho... pero da best talaga pag may kaibigan or family member kayo dito..

Yup I do agree with you Pedro, Medyo tumaas na crime rate dito. Kaso if you read the daily periodicals or seven days, di masyado nababanggit. I guess its the govenments ploy to make the image of emirates as a safe haven for tourist.

Dubai is the best city in Middle East, based on my personal experience… hindi masyado malaki ang adjustment mo sa culture kapag dito ka napunta… unlike sa other parts ng Middle East countries (specifically Saudi Arabia)…

 

Ang disadvantage lang dito eh naglipana din ang mga job hunters di lamang galling sa pIlipinas kungdi pati na rin sa ibang Asians countries… Indians here are very prominent, dahil na din siguro sa history ng UAE na sila ang mga kauna-unahang mga workers na nagsipunta at nag-settle sa UAE…

 

I was there last year, na-banned when I wanted to transfer to a much better company… ‘yun isang napakalaking disadvantage sa mga Middle East countries… since na walang immigration law dito, mananatili, ang mga gaya nating (OCW) na contract workers – kahit gaano na kayong katagal dito, and cannot have the same rights gaya ng mga nasa bansang may immigrant law (i,e, Canada, etc.)… sa Middle East, lagi kang naka-depende sa sponsor mo… kahit magaling ka at kaya mong makapasok sa mas magandang kumpany pero ayaw kang payagan ng sponsor mo, wala kang magagawa kungdi magtiis… something na I always find very unfair para sa karapatan ng taong umansenso…

 

I’m here now in Qatar (almost a year now)… the same law… and now, another company from UAE is expressing their willingness to hire me… kapag nakabalik ako, papasyalan ko ‘yung dati kong kumpanya… wala lang, mang-aasar lang este mangangamusta lang…

I'm in Dubai for almost five months now. Tulad ng karamihan sumugal din ako.. I don't have the slightest idea gano kahirap kumuha ng work here till I came, adminsitrative position pa hanap ko. I was on a Visit Visa then, pero ang lamang ko lang nandito brother ko and his family who supported me noong jobless ako. It took 38 days bago ako mgkawork. Swerte ko lang kasi I got the job I want (more or less, sa Pinas kasi sa HR ako, dito pure recruitment), UK-based company, nakapagnegotiate for good salary and benefits package kahit wala akong gulf experience, I was given a residence visa before my Visit Visa expired, and open contract, it may be terminated by either party by giving four weeks written notice. So I can leave the company anytime I want (incase a better opportunity comes), they can fire me anytime they want - walang ban... And the best part is, sobrang ok ang boss ko... She recommended me for regularization after 3 months and was given an increase and pasok na ako sa commission/bonus scheme ng company.

 

Whenever a friend or a former colleague ask me if ok dito, sinasabi ko ang totoong condition ng mga pinoy dito. Mahirap makakuha ng work, high cost of living, the Kish story, etc etc etc... nasa kanila na if they still want to go. Sabi ko pray hard and ask for sign if para dito ka ba o sa Pinas ok ka na... Basta lang mga pare at mare, dapat po you have enough experience before ka pumunta dito.

countries as well. Dami na umaalis everyday. Hirap na daw buhay dito sa

I wont discourage mga visit visa individuals in going there, I can say it's a matter of luck and guts in going to dubai pag meron ka isa ok na un, kung meron ka both the better, nagmahal na din rents nila which range from 500 dirhams up. Suerte na lang ako at maganda ung company na napasukan ko and a direct hire na from the Pinas pa. Ang alam kong in demand dun ay work sa bank, computer programmers and work sa mga hotel as waiter/waitresses and entertainers. But the latter eh dapat contract na dito sa pinas since it is commonly 6 months renewable contract. Moreover, they say that if your company has a suffix na LTD(LIMITED), ( like mine dati DUBAI ALUMINIUM CO. LTD. ), that means malaki ung company and the benefits are great. Just pray hard po, muntik ko ng makalimutan, number 1 weapon mo yan.

 

Salaries are also graded, like grade 7, 8, 9,10, .... mine was salary grade 11.

I think in Dubai or wherever you go! One should be able to split their income into 3 parts. 1 part savings, 1 part for your family in the Philippines and the last part for your expenses (food, clothing, shelter!)

A lot or the majority of the gulf states air line are Pinays with som Europeans (sound east europeans, SouthAsians, Brits). Am not sure about the pay scale but I heard there is a diference between the nationalities. The one I had observed are Gulf Air, Emirates, and Saudia.

 

 

I think ok naman ang salary nang mga flight attendant. Sa Philippine Airlines and Cebu pacific lang ata mababa eh.

Dubai: A visitor to the UAE will only be allowed to make two visa runs at a stretch after which he/she must leave the country, Ministry of Interior officials said.

 

A visitor can stay for two months and extend it by another month.

 

If the visitor wishes to stay longer, he/she will have to obtain a new visit visa, exit the country and return.

 

The two-month stay again can be extended by a month. The visitor will then only be allowed another visa run. The total duration of stay will be nine months.

 

A ministry official said after the two runs, the person must leave the country for a full month and then return if he/she wishes.

 

In another decision, companies will not be allowed to sponsor Filipinas under the age of 25.

Dubai: Too many visit visa extensions, one of them renewed 12 times for a two-year stay, stranded four Filipinas for hours at the airport, prompting Philippine authorities here to seek clarification on the UAE visit visa policies.

 

The women, in their 30s, were detained two weeks ago after returning from Kish Island, where they had renewed their visit visa. They were stopped upon arrival at Dubai airport when immigration officials noticed the women had at least four visit visa renewals, enough for a ten month stay.

 

Assistance

 

Visit visas issued for Dubai are valid for 60 days and are renewable for a total stay of up to 90 days, according to information posted on the Dubai Department of Tourism, Commerce and Marketing (DTCM) website.

 

 

 

 

The women were finally allowed to enter Dubai after officials, with the assistance of the Philippine Consulate General, determined that their visit visas were valid, despite the number of renewals.

 

Antonio Curameng, Philippine Consul General in Dubai, told Gulf News that they were waiting to hear from the Dubai Naturalisation and Residency Department (DRND) about their policy on barring entry to visit visa holders.

 

He said they were not disputing the regulations, but wants to know why the women were allowed to renew their visit visas if they had surpassed the visit visa limit.

 

"Instead of renewing the visit visa and then barring entry to [the holders], the (DNRD) should not issue any more visas. They should send [the people] home then and there," he said.

 

"But if they issued a visa, then they should honour what they have done," he added.

 

The detention of the women sparked concerns among the Filipino community, many with friends and families who regularly renew their visit visas while they look for work in the UAE. Many were worried that they would lose money, paying for visit visa renewal fee only to be denied access to Dubai.

 

Curameng said he did not know whether the women were seeking a job or had been working illegally in the UAE. "I didn't ask because I wasn't sure I wanted to hear their answer. But I told them to seek legal employment so that they can stay here legally [with a residency visa]," he said.

 

He also said that DNRD should improve links with the Labour Ministry and inspect employers and companies that hire illegal workers.

sarap sana dubai, heard stories about the duty free raffles held during ramadan and hajj eid holidays....prizes of kilos of gold, bmw mercedez benz etc tax free...

 

& di masyado mahigpit - may alak at simbahan (at syempre chicks).
