ok ba ang smart broadband? natanong lang. masaya na ako sa dsl ko :)

 

It really depends. For me though, the service works fine for direct downloads since I can use a download accelerator (downloads multiple parts of the file at once...) in order to give me about 43 - 45 KB/s which is what I would expect from a 384 kb/s connection. (please note the difference of KB/s to kb/s...sometimes some users expect 384 kb/s to be equal to 384 KB/s :blink: in which case, please do your homework... :P ) :headsetsmiley:

Anong model ung Linksys Router ginamit mo?

 

i'm also using smartbro, location ko is pasay city.. so far ok nman yung internet connection ko 3months na din ata to.. no intermittent or slow connections..un nga lang madami ngrereklamo..siguro depende na din talaga sa location..

Was a smart wifi subscriber since their inception last year till a few months ago. My advice to people is dont go for this service unless you have no other alternative.

 

These have been my experiences with them:

 

1. Their rated speed of up to whatever kbps is pure bullshit. I have used many internet speed monitoring websites and the maximum I get is about 100+kbps.

 

2. Their customer support is very inefficient, lacking in knowhow and pretty much a waste of time. When I initially applied last year, it took them one month to finally activate my subscription. Smart kept insisting something was wrong with our pc's or antennae or whatever but it turned out that the base station where we were connected to wasnt activated by Smart.

 

3. Their service is very intermitent, I emphazise on the very part. It will suffice is you just want to download, but if downloading was the only thing we can do on the internet then we could have survived with dial-up right?

 

I am using destiny cable now, and while its still far from perfect. Its still loads better than Smart wifi.

 

Imho, getting their smart bro wifi service isnt the smartest thing to do.

so far wala naman akong problem sa smart bro connection ko. ive been using this connection for almost 3 months na. after 3 days of my application naikabit agad. ok naman ang costumer service, whenever may changes natawag naman sila sakin agad.

 

ilan bagyo na dumaan ok pa rin hehehe

 

mas ok na ito kesa sa pacific internet grrrrrrrrrr

I've been using smart bro for more than a year, at first 3 months lagi intermittent conection ko pero after that running smooth na, 788 parin monthly ko, 9 PC's ang nakakokek, so far so good, kahit mag oline games ng sabay sabay lahat, wag lang may mag ym na isa kungdi, cgurado lag ang mga nag oonline games...

After starting this thread way back ... something i want to share ....

 

 

OK September 2006 - Kabit Smart .. So far OK naman, as you can see from my earlier posts

 

After a few days Hayun NAGLOKO ... Intermittent connection.....

Tawag ako sa SMART ... LECHE ... ang Hirap makontakt, hindi marunong, eengot engot ...

 

Dumaan na ung Milenyo, nalaglag na ung Lightning Arrester, Pumaling lalo ung CANOPY (:mtc: :thumbsupsmiley:

We chatted about work, life etc...

I found out that we were in the same Company sometime back

her work demands time talaga .... etc etc..

 

She called me the next day to say that the REBATE was OK

 

I said I thank her so much for giving me such wonderful help...

...I said i owe her coffee and hinting that we have so much to talk about...

she obliged.... we will meet SOONER than I expected ...

GINAMIT KO NA UNG POWER CARD KO...

 

Tinawagan na ung mga kakilala sa SMART .... BTW Meron isang MTC Member na Bigatin dito ...sa SMART din

Tinawagan DIRETSO ung CONTRACTOR para sa Magawa SOONEST, ASAP

 

Dumating ung CONTRACTOR WALA AKO, kinausap ung taong-bahay, chineck-up ung PC, at ang SABI BA NAMAN

SIRA DAW UNG LAN CARD NG COMPUTER KO... SABAY ALIS .... HINDI KO INABUTAN ang mga UNGAS

Ang ENGOT ko na Katulong PINIRMAHAN ung JOB ORDER of which I asked na DO NOT SIGN ANY....

ANG COMPUTER KO HINDI SIRA, 3 PA Computer sa bahay

AYAW Maniwala na SIRA na ang RECEPTION nila, in fact tanggal na ANTENNA

 

Tawag Uli sa SMART, Resched ung mga CONTRACTOR ....

After 2 days Bumalik.... Nasa Bahay ako.... I asked them SINO ANG NAGSABI na SIRA ANG LAN CARD KO at HAHAMPASIN KO NG COMPUTER na YAN ... BUTI WALA SYA kundi ung Kasama lang.... Tinanong ko pa ung katuts kung nagsasabi ng totoo ung CONTRACTOR ... OO Naman daw

On that DAY INAYOS na NILA .....

PINALITANG NG CANOPY, Sira na nga talaga

PINALITAN Na rin ng Voltage Adapter at binigyan pa ako ng SPARE

INIHARAP ung CANOPY kung saan PINAKAMALAKAS ung SIGNAL

TINESTING - OK NA

 

Now Sa BILLING

Syempre nireklamo ko rin ung WEEKS na wala kami SERVICE ...

Ang LINTEK na BADEENG sa Smart Center sabi BAYARAN ko raw MUNA ung BILL saka ako magreklamo ...

Bago pa ako tuluyan mainis, i ask him to call the office Manager

 

She came out ... and offered help, by filing a REBATE/CLAIM

She said I need not to pay that month muna ...

Haay .... So I just paid the subsequent months

always busy naman e... pero, may mga bagay na nagagawan ng paraan. :P

 

BTW, let me know if you remember the name of contractor who says na sira LAN card mo.. I'm also curious how they arrived on such and what type of isolation has been done... Inneficiency is something we shouldn't tolerate.
